A pet grooming tool has a pet engageable portion and a handle portion. The pet engageable portion has a first section of a first brush characteristic sandwiched between a second section and third section of brush characteristics different from the first brush characteristic. The handle portion is secured to the pet engageable portion sized for grasping by a human hand.

A pet grooming kit may include a plurality of tools, a base, a canister and a flexible hose. The base may have a base platform; a canister receiver; a housing having an exterior end face and an interior end face having a vacuum inlet; a vacuum system disposed in the housing; a handle; a hose coupling having an exterior port and an interior port; and a base latch. The canister may be removably attachable to the canister receiver and may have (i) a sidewall, (ii) a first end face, (iii) and a second end face, and (iv) a vacuum port. The flexible hose may have a tool-engaging end that is configured to releasably secure a tool or the base latch. The vacuum system may be configured to draw a vacuum through the flexible hose, the hose coupling, the vacuum port, the screen and the vacuum inlet.

An animal hairbrush having a handle and a brush head with various bristles for grooming animal hair. The animal hairbrush includes a removable cover having a rigid base and a hair binding layer. The hair binding layer is adapted to collect the animal hair. The removable cover has a plurality of perforations into which the various bristles on the brush head are aligned and placed within. The removable cover may be embodied as a plurality of removable sheets layered on top of each other and onto the rigid base. The hair binding layer may be an adhesive layer.

The present invention provides an immune response modifier (IRM) composition that includes an IRM moiety and a second active moiety covalently linked to the IRM moiety, wherein the covalent link comprises a labile bond directly attached to the IRM moiety.

A vacuum grooming tool is disclosed that includes a vacuum nozzle attachable to a vacuum source and has a hollow body with a mouth opening. A grooming device selected from a variety of standard animal grooming hand tools, such as a shedding blade, rake or de-matting tool, may span the mouth opening. The grooming device is positioned such that the airflow created by the vacuum source flows over at least one side of the grooming device. A vacuum cleaning tool for removing any animal hair from a grooming tool is also disclosed. A vacuum plenum of the cleaning tool is attachable to a vacuum source and has an opening for cleaning the grooming tool in one pass. The cleaning tool can be mounted on a stationary support may also include a pivot-action mechanism that connects the vacuum grooming tool or the cleaning tool to the vacuum source.

A pet door with groomer and vacuum is a pet door with a swinging, flexible door but the framework around the door has an interior vacuum channel that connects an attachable vacuum with orifices located on the inner periphery of the framework. Bristles attached to the inner periphery act as a grooming brush to brush the hair of a pet passing through and to help remove any loose foreign material and hair clinging to the hair of the pet. The attached vacuum suctions up any loose material and collects it in a trap that is removable for emptying.

A de-shedding tool is provided for removal of loose pet hair, and for removal or loosening of matted and tangled pet hair. The de-shedding tool includes a brush base with a plurality of bristles. The de-shedding tool further includes a perforated plate, having a plurality of perforations, wherein each of the perforations is dimensioned to accommodate one of the plurality of bristles. The perforated plate reciprocates relative to the brush base between a retracted position while the de-shedding tool is in use, and an extended position to enable removal of pet hair trapped during use.

The present invention provides a device and method of using the device for pet care. The device has a housing divided into two halves that may be fastened together to form a single item such as a ball. Each of the halves having an interior side, an exterior side and a circumferential edge that contains the locking means to removably fasten the halves together. One half of the device having a refillable liquid cavity with cap for holding liquid, a reusable sponge, massaging bristles extending through and beyond the reusable sponge on the interior side, and a liquid dispensing mechanism with one or more apertures for releasing the fluid into the reusable sponge. The other half is hollow and has a grooming surface and vents to allow the reusable sponge to dry when the device is fastened together. Methods of using the device are also provided.

The motorized animal-grooming brush is adapted for use with animals. The motorized animal-grooming brush is a rotating brush that is driven by an electric drive that is separated in distance from the rotating brush. The motorized animal-grooming brush comprises a brush device, an electric drive, and a drive line. The electric drive provides a motive force through the drive line to the brush device. The brush device receives the motive force from the electric drive and uses this motive force to rotate the grooming brush. The separation by distance between the electric drive and the rotating brush reduces the level of noise heard by the animal.
