A key structure includes two key bodies and two elastic pieces. The two key bodies are disposed face to face. Each of the two key bodies has a base portion. Two opposite ends of the base portion extend sideward towards a same direction to form two extending portions spaced from each other. The two extending portions of one of the two key bodies face to the two extending portions of the other key body, respectively. Two opposite ends of each of the two elastic pieces are fastened in the two extending portions of the two key bodies respectively.

Composite material with insert-molded attachment steel
10406781 · 2019-09-10 · ·

A composite material with an insert-molded attachment steel is provided. The composite material includes a plurality of burring apertures, each of which has a flange in one direction on the attachment steel and is inserted between fibers. A resin is then introduced between the fibers in each burring aperture and external to the flange.

Method for producing a framework
10384387 · 2019-08-20 · ·

With a method for producing a two-dimensional or three-dimensional framework (1) with rods (2) of a composite material with fibers and a matrix, which are connected with nodes (3) to at least one other rod (2) and/or another component (29), comprising the steps of: producing the rods (2) out of a composite material, connecting the rods (2) with at least one other rod (2) and/or another component (29) at the nodes (3), the framework (1) should be manufactured inexpensively and reliably by a low technical effort. This object can be solved in a way that the rods (2) are being produced with pultrusion and/or extrusion and a pultrusion unit (6) and/or an extrusion unit (7) is moved in space such that after the pultrusion and/or extrusion the pultruded and/or extruded rods (2) are pultruded and/or extruded in each case at the required position within the framework (1).

METHOD OF JOINING ELASTOMERIC LIPS,PRESS-SWITCH SYSTEM, AND WEARABLE MONITOR
20190125260 · 2019-05-02 ·

A housing can have two superposed housing members and a joint member connecting lips of the housing members to one another along at least a portion of a periphery. The housing members and the joint member can all be made of an elastomeric material, and thus be flexible, compressible, and have elasticity. An electronic unit within an air-filled cavity between the housing members can be received on a board, itself being received on one of the housing members, and having a press-switch unit covered by the other one of the housing members and forming part of a press-switch system.

Article of footwear having printed structures

An article of footwear having printed structures disposed on the article by a three-dimensional printer is disclosed. The printed structures include extended portions and fastener receiving portions. The extended portions are at least partially embedded in the upper. The fastener receiving portions are at least partially spaced apart from an exterior surface of the upper.

Methods of joining components in vehicle assemblies

Methods of joining components to form vehicle assemblies, such as engine assemblies, are provided. The methods include arranging a first component having a first channel defined therein in a mold, arranging a second component having a second channel defined therein in the mold, and aligning the first and second channel to define a pin-receiving channel. At least one polymeric composite pin is inserted into the pin-receiving channel thereby joining the first and second components, wherein an adhesive is disposed adjacent to at least a portion of the polymeric composite pin.

Epoxy curatives and two-part compositions comprising epoxy curative and epoxy resin parts are provided as well as methods of their use in liquid shim applications. Epoxy curatives comprise at least one cycloaliphatic polyamine curative and at least one second curative selected from a) an aliphatic polyamidoamine and b) an adduct of an excess of an unbranched polyetherdiamine with an epoxy resin.

3D printed vehicle architecture, joints and method

A method of assembling components of a vehicle is provided that includes locating a node relative to an adjoining component, measuring at least one geometrical feature of the node or the adjoining component, 3D printing an assembly adjustment member based on the measuring, and placing the assembly adjustment member proximate at least one of the node or the adjoining component. The assembly adjustment member is configured to allow relative movement between the node and the adjoining component for subsequent processing operations.

Lightweight steering knuckle

A steering knuckle comprising a bearing connection interface (formed by a sleeve element) for connecting a wheel bearing to the steering knuckle and further connection interfaces (formed by a bracket for connection of a ball joint) for connecting the steering knuckle to an upper and lower vehicle suspension control arm. A sleeve element bore is adapted to one of receive a wheel bearing outer ring or serve as the outer ring. The sleeve element and the bracket are joined by a composite body comprising a fiber-reinforced material. The fiber-reinforced material comprises a long fiber molding compound is overmolded to a first (sleeve element) joining surface and to a second (bracket) joining surface. The first joining surface is a radially outer surface thereof. The long-fiber molding compound flows into a recessed portion of the first joining surface for mechanically locking the sleeve element to the composite body in an axial direction.
