A method and apparatus for reworking an inconsistency on a part. Information about the inconsistency on the part may be identified using data generated by a nondestructive evaluation system. A portion of a section of the part in which the inconsistency is located may be removed based on the information about the inconsistency. A profile for the section of the part may be identified. Rework image data may be generated using the profile in which the rework image data comprises a number of patch images. The number of patch images may be projected onto a rework material as a number of patch projections for use in forming a patch to be applied over the section of the part.

Skin manufacturing post-treatment device for automobile collision dummy

A skin manufacturing post-treatment device for an automobile collision dummy device includes a post-treatment mechanism, where the post-treatment mechanism includes a rotary operation table that is provided with a cutting station, a grinding station, a skin patching station and a removal station in a circumferential direction; the cutting station is configured to cut an injection molding residual material on a surface of a dummy skin, and the grinding station is configured to grind a cut position to form a frustum-shaped patching recess; and the skin patching station is configured to fill the patching recess with a welding skin patching material, and the removal station is configured to clean a skin patching position.

Flexible guide for tire repair

A method for preparing a portion of a tire for repair includes the steps of providing a template having a pair of guide edges, securing the template to an interior surface of the tire, providing a tool for forming a discontinuity in the interior surface of the tire, forming a discontinuity in the interior surface of the tire, with the tool, along the guide edges of the template, and removing the template from the tire.

Method of repairing a core stiffened structure

A method of repairing a core stiffened structure can include removing a damaged portion of the core stiffened structure; creating a cutout in a portion of a repair core member; fitting the repair core member onto an existing core member such that the cutout mates with a portion of the existing core member; bonding the repair core member to the existing core member; and placing a skin patch over the repair core member.

Skin manufacturing post-treatment method for automobile collision dummy

A skin manufacturing post-treatment method for an automobile collision dummy includes: forming a first pouring portion on a skin layer to be treated, and forming a patching recess by grinding the first pouring portion; obtaining an epidermis layer to be treated, and arranging a heating assembly above the patching recess, where the heating assembly is attached to an interior of the patching recess, and the epidermis layer; and simultaneously heating, by the heating assembly, the patching recess and the epidermis layer to be treated. In this way, the epidermis layer to be treated and an inner wall of the patching recess can be simultaneously heated at the first preset temperature, the epidermis layer to be treated and the inner wall of the patching recess are consistent in temperature, and a connection strength between the epidermis layer to be treated and the inner wall of the patching recess is enhanced.
