An inspection method for an injection molding device includes: a first step of acquiring a first detection value from a sensor using a test mold having the sensor, the sensor measuring a temperature or pressure of a molten material injected from a first injection molding device into a cavity section demarcated by a fixed mold and a moving mold; a second step of injecting a molten material from a second injection molding device into the cavity section and acquiring a second detection value from the sensor; and a third step of performing an inspection using the first detection value and the second detection value.

The invention relates to a press for encapsulating electronic components mounted on a carrier, comprising: at least two press parts displaceable relative to each other, a drive system for the displacement of the press parts, and an intelligent control adapted to control the drive system of the press parts wherein the drive system comprises at least two individual controllable actuators, the intelligent control further connects to plural displacement sensors for detecting the relative displacement of the press parts, and wherein the intelligent control is adapted to control the actuators of the drive system dynamically over time based on the measured values detected with the displacement sensors. The invention also relates to an actuator set to convert a prior art press into a press according to the present invention as well as to a method for encapsulating electronic components mounted on a carrier.

Method for Controlling a Rate or Force of a Clamp in a Molding System Using One or More Strain Gauges
A method of monitoring and controlling a molding clamping apparatus in an injection molding or other molding process is disclosed. The method includes creating a target strain profile, receiving a deviation limit, receiving a change in strain relating to a mold while it is closing from a first strain gauge, identifying a deviation from a target strain profile based on the output from the first strain gauge, determining that the deviation exceeds the deviation limit, and adjusting the rate or force of clamp movement. The target strain profile may have a first portion relating to a clamp closing process, a second portion relating to a filling process, and a third portion relating to a clamp opening process. The first portion relating to the clamp closing process may include an intermediate portion relating to a coining process having an intermediate clamp force setpoint.

A method is disclosed for micro-molding articles. The method comprises melting and pre-pressurizing thermoplastic material to a first level, within a plasticizing barrel. The melt pressure of the thermoplastic material is manipulated to a second level, within a hot runner. The melt pressure of the thermoplastic material is manipulated to an ultra-cavity packing pressure within a valve gate nozzle.
INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR INJECTION MOLDING
An injection molding machine having vent mechanism includes a plastication device, an injection device, a junction, a vent-up sensor, and a controller. The vent-up sensor detects vent-up. When the vent-up is detected, the controller switches from normal conditions to vent-up suppression conditions. The vent-up suppression conditions have at least one of the followings: increasing a rotational speed of the plastication screw to be higher than that in the normal conditions; using retreat-metering when the retreat-metering is not performed in the normal conditions, wherein in the retreat-metering, in addition to a pressure of the resin material, a force in a retreat direction is applied to the injection plunger to move the injection plunger at a predetermined retreat speed in the metering; and increasing the retreat speed of the injection plunger to be higher than that in the normal conditions when the retreat-metering is performed in the normal conditions.

The control unit controls the injection control unit to execute, based on a detected value, at least one of a metering operation of metering the plasticized material in the communication hole in the cylinder, and an injecting operation of injecting the plasticized material in the cylinder into the mold via the injection nozzle.
