Method and system for remote monitoring, care and maintenance of animals
A system for remote care of an animal includes a smart bowl that includes an open-faced container for holding a substance, a microprocessor, and a proximity sensor configured to detect the presence of a proximity tag attached to an animal.
Livestock Treatment Method and Apparatus
Provided is a method for treating animals, such as livestock, by exposing the animals to an airborne suspension of finely divided mineral salts. Treatment is effected upon inspiration of the mineral salts or skin contact with the mineral salts. The animals are accommodated in a treatment chamber with a substantially sealed limited confined volume and has a pressure difference airflow means, a dispensing means for the mineral salts and dessicant(s) in the walls and on the floor of the treatment chamber. The treatment chamber is a stationary installation or adapted as a trailer to treat animals during a journey or to transport the treatment chamber to the animals location, for example, a zoo or to apiaries.
Mist blower with Venturi housing
A mist blower with a Venturi housing for spraying water or chemicals onto objects such as livestock, orchards, weed areas or the like. The mist blower includes an air blower having an air discharge opening formed therein. A Venturi housing has its inner end in communication with the air discharge opening. An air discharge housing has its inner end embracing the outer end of the Venturi thereby creating a Venturi gap therebetween. The Venturi housing has a plurality of Venturi openings formed therein. As air is blown through the Venturi housing, the Venturi openings draw additional air into the air being discharged. As air is blown through the air discharge housing, additional air is drawn into the air discharge housing by way of the Venturi gap.
HOOF TREATMENT ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR HOOF TREATMENT
A hoof treatment arrangement arranged to spray a liquid onto hooves of animals while they are stationary in a stall of an animal arrangement includes an identification system configured to identify animals, an automatic detector arrangement configured to determine the hoof status for animals, an automatic spray device, and a control arrangement. The control arrangement is operatively connected to an information database of the animal arrangement, which includes animal specific information for a plurality of animals housed in the animal arrangement; the identification system, to obtain information regarding the identity of each of the plurality of animals; the automatic detector arrangement, to obtain information regarding the hoof status for each of the identified animals; and the automatic spray device, to control the automatic spray device.
TEAT PACK MATERIAL FOR LACTATING LIVESTOCK, KIT FOR FORMING TEAT PACK FOR LACTATING LIVESTOCK, AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING MASTITIS IN LACTATING LIVESTOCK
A teat protective pack material for coating teats of lactating livestock to prevent mastitis is disclosed, the teat protective pack material including a polymer latex and a coagulant for coagulating the polymer latex to form a film. The teat protective pack material optionally includes a surfactant, a mold-releasing agent, a water-soluble polymer, water and/or a water-soluble solvent, an antifreezing agent, etc. if required. The teat protective pack material, may have excellent adhesiveness, elasticity, abrasion resistance, durability, aging resistance, oil resistance, weatherability, breast shape followability, etc. The teat protective pack material may be capable of immediately coating the whole teat and thus preventing adhesion of teat packs adjacent to each other, and, when milking again or in case of emergency, may be able to be quickly removed without using any additional facility, material, etc.
Pet Cleaning Apparatus
In an embodiment, an apparatus comprising of a base plate a plurality of bristles on the first side and a disposable layer with an interlaced network of holes having a plurality of particle collecting protrusions that align with at least the majority of the bristles of the base plate causing the disposable layer to be in close proximity of the base plate.
Tag based administration of pharmaceutical agents to livestock
Apparatus and method for autonomously administering a pharmaceutical agent, such as an insecticide, to an animal. A tag assembly is attached to the animal at a suitable location such as through an outer ear thereof. The tag assembly includes a reservoir to retain the pharmaceutical agent. An actuator of the tag assembly is configured to open the reservoir responsive to a control signal from a control circuit. An application mechanism facilitates a transfer of the pharmaceutical agent to the animal in response to the actuator. In some cases, the control signal may be transmitted to the tag assembly from an external source via a wireless connection. In other cases, the control signal may be generated internally using a sensor of the tag assembly. The tag assembly may include multiple reservoirs so that applications of the agent can be carried out at different times and under different conditions as required.
AUTOMATED DEVICE FOR THE TARGETED SPRAYING OF ACTIVE MATERIAL
Device (1) for spraying active material comprising a case (2) fixed on a support (3), said case (2) containing a liquid solution containing at least one active material in a tank (7), said solution being ejected through an ejection orifice (4), said tank (7) being equipped with an activatable diffusion mechanism (10), which communicates with an electronic circuit (10), powered by a battery (11), the activation of which triggers spraying, characterized in that the ejection orifice (4) is connected to a tubular duct with a length of between 5 and 70 cm provided with at least one outlet orifice (5′) for offsetting the ejection of said active material in the form of fine liquid particles.
TICK CONTROL DEVICE HAVING ORAL DETERRENT MATERIAL
A tick control tube includes a carrier medium and a treated bedding material. The treated bedding material is impregnated with an acaricide and an oral deterrent. In one aspect of the tick control tube, the carrier medium is a cardboard tube and the bedding material is a fibrous cotton, the acaricide is permethrin, and the oral deterrent is denatonium benzoate.
Pet device
Disclosed is a pet device. The pet device can include a housing, a movable member, and a first porous element. The housing can include a back and a front connected to the back to define a cavity. The front can define a first opening. The moveable member can be located in between the back and front. The moveable member can include a tab and can define an element receptacle. The first porous element can be impregnated with a first fluid and sized to fit within the element receptacle. The movable member can be moveable between a first position where the element receptacle is located proximate the first opening and a second position where a majority of the moveable member, including the element receptacle, is located outside of the cavity.
