Animal spraying devices, systems and methods of use
The present invention provides a novel and improved animal sprayer for use in cooling livestock and other animals in different hot or dry environments, and methods of using the same. Embodiments of the novel animal sprayers may include a valve which does not require constant electric current to remain open during a spraying session, extending system battery life. The valves may also be self-cleaning, less likely to leak, and easily adjusted to control flow rate, reducing both water use and labor costs in monitoring and repairing the animal sprayer.
HORSE TAIL ATTACHMENT AND PROTECTION DEVICE
A protective sleeve is provided to protect and/or decorate the dock of a horse's tail. The sleeve may allow for attachment of a decorative cover, such as a pre-braided and/or partially braided hairpiece, which substitutes for the need to manually braid a tail, thereby avoiding damage to the natural hairs on the bony structure of the tail known as the dock where all hair follicles reside. The sleeve may allow for braiding of the horse's tail hairs into the decorative cover. Further, in another aspect of the present disclosure, the protective sleeve may be used for preservation of the horse's tail hairs when the horse is not competing as a preventative measure to protect the tail from further damage from rubbing or abrasion.
ANIMAL TREATMENT APPARATUS, BLOCK, AND METHOD OF USE
The invention provides an animal treatment block for applying a treatment to an animal against the action of biting insects, including a body including a carrier medium, a structural means, incorporated into the carrier medium and an active ingredient incorporated into the carrier medium. The body, including the carrier medium with incorporated active ingredient and structural means, may be mounted such that an animal can readily contact the body, whereby the active ingredient is applied to the animal in a controlled manner, through application of the carrier medium. The invention also relates to variants thereof and methods of use.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLICATION OF CHEMICAL TREATMENT TO LIVESTOCK
A method and an apparatus for application of chemical treatment to livestock provide a combination chemical roller applicator and livestock sprayer with a gateway to a livestock resource area. A roller applicator imparts a liquid treatment to the nose and face of an animal after lifting a flap attached to the roller. A pump conveys chemical from a reservoir to the roller and sprayer nozzles. The apparatus secures to an existing fence or gate.
Automated caged bird spray applicator system
The application discloses a spray applicator system attachable to a poultry feeder for accurately and precisely dosing liquid formulations, including vaccines and probiotic formulations, to caged avian animals. The application discloses spray applicators, having improved acceptance by the avian animals, relative to more disruptive prior spray applicators. The disclosed automated caged spray applicator system is designed to attach to and function with automated poultry feeding systems, routinely used in poultry house settings.
High throughput process for delivering semi-firm gel for poultry
A high throughput process for delivering a semi-firm gel for supplying vaccines, nutritive substances and other similar material to animals, such as poultry chicks. The material is delivered in a non-absorbent semi-firm gel that is easily consumable which results in higher material uptake. The semi-firm gel is formed by interactions occurring between a solution containing an alginic acid crosslinking agent with a gel containing alginic acid.
Device for assisting application of medicaments to pets
A device for assisting the application of medicaments to pets includes first and second elongated members. Each elongated member includes a proximal end and a distal end, a handle portion extending between the proximal end and the distal end, and comb teeth extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The proximal end of the second elongated member and the proximal end of the first elongated member are pivotally attached to one another. The comb teeth of the first and second elongated members extend in the same direction perpendicular to a plane in which the first and second members pivot relative to each other. The handle portions extend in the same or parallel plane in which the first and second members pivot relative to one another. The device is used to part the hair of the pet so that the medicament can be applied directly to the pet's skin.
SPECIFIC PATHOGEN FREE FEED COMPOSITION
The presently claimed invention is directed to a feed composition comprising at least one living worm, wherein the worm is free of pathogens selected from the group consisting of species of Salmonella, species of Campylobacter, Histomonas meleagridis and any combination of two or more of the aforementioned.
VETERINARY USE AND DELIVERY OF AMMONIA OXIDIZING MICROORGANISMS
A method of treating a disorder in a veterinary subject is provided. The method comprises administering an effective amount of a preparation comprising ammonia oxidizing microorganisms to the veterinary subject, thereby treating the disorder. Methods of introducing ammonia oxidizing microorganisms in a veterinary subject, treating skin of a veterinary subject, and treating a systemic condition in a veterinary subject are also provided. Related preparations, kits, and devices are also provided.
