Method for reproducing injection molded parts of quality and injection molding unit for performing the method
10836088 · 2020-11-17 · ·

A time variation of an internal pressure of the molding cavity of a multi-phase injection molding machine is detected and represented as an internal pressure graph. An internal pressure graph recorded during a production cycle that produced an injection molded part satisfying a predefined quality characteristic is used as a reference graph. If the internal pressure graph of the current production cycle exceeds a predefined threshold value, then a current machine parameter is changed so as to adapt an internal pressure graph of a subsequent production cycle to the reference graph. Each phase of the production cycle is assigned its own machine parameter determined to have a significant impact on the quality of the parts produced. The assigned machine parameters are changed in a predefined order in a plurality of production cycles wherein exactly one assigned machine parameter is changed per production cycle.

The glue is injected into the glue injection unit (500) when the turntable (402) is rotated, and the glue injection unit (500) is capable of injecting the glue therein into a mold.

System and apparatus for injection molding

A system, method and apparatus for controlling an injection unit to transfer a material to a mold cavity includes a first actuator and a second actuator, and a controller that is operatively connected to the first actuator and the second actuator. The first and second actuators are coupled to a ram of the injection unit. The first actuator rotates the ram within the barrel, and the second actuator translates the ram within the barrel. During a material fill stage of an injection cycle, the controller controls the first actuator to rotate the ram within the barrel. The controller also controls the second actuator to translate the ram within the barrel, and controls the second actuator to retract the ram away from a nozzle of the injection unit while exerting a compression force on the ram towards the nozzle.

Method and apparatus for sequential injection moulding of plastic materials
10583599 · 2020-03-10 · ·

A method and apparatus for the sequential injection moulding of plastic material into the mould cavity or by using a plurality of controlled open-close injectors, wherein the sequentially injected plastic material originates in mould flow fronts in different directions whose collision generates at least one weld line on the moulded article. The sequential injection is actuated with specific modes according to which the opening of the at least one of said injectors is anticipated or delayed with respect to other injectors and/or at least one of the injectors is closed partly and/or at least one of the injectors is gradually opened only partly. Such specific modes are managed to control and define the shape and/or the position of the weld line on the moulded article.

Systems and Approaches for Controlling an Injection Molding Machine

Systems and approaches for controlling an injection molding machine having a mold forming a mold cavity and being controlled according to an injection cycle include obtaining a pattern for the injection cycle, operating the injection molding machine to inject a molten material into the mold cavity, and measuring a cavity pressure value of the mold cavity during the mold cycle. Upon measuring a nominal cavity pressure value, a pattern recognition portion of the injection cycle that is at least partially dependent on the obtained pattern commences where a driving force being exerted on the molten material is adjusted such that the measured cavity pressure matches the obtained pattern for the injection cycle.

SYSTEMS AND APPROACHES FOR CONTROLLING AN INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE

Systems and approaches for controlling an injection molding machine having a first configuration and a mold forming a mold cavity and being controlled according to an injection cycle include obtaining a pattern for a portion of an injection cycle of an injection molding machine having a second configuration and operating the injection molding machine having the first configuration to inject a molten material into the mold cavity. While operating the injection molding machine having the first configuration, the obtained pattern is used to control a portion of the injection cycle.
