Berry catcher system
The berry catcher system has an elastic catcher sheet that is sandwiched between upper and lower endless hollow rims. A protector sheet is deployed below the catcher sheet. The system is structured so that as berries are dislodged from their respective vines, the catcher sheet catches the berries as the protector sheet simultaneously protects (at least) the underside of the catcher sheet.
Parallel oscillating rails of a shaker harvester
Rail assembly 302 may comprise rail 322 mechanically coupled to oscillating members 305 and 307. In operation, oscillating members 305 and 307 may reciprocate about vertical axes 352 and 353 of vertical shafts 309 and 311, respectively. Reciprocation of the oscillating members may cause rail 322 to travel in arcuate paths 802 and 804. Arcuate paths 802 and 804 may be located in a two-dimensional plane that is perpendicular to vertical shafts 309 and 311. Rail 322 may impart a force on the trunk of a vine so as to dislodge the fruit from the vine.
Flexible catcher assembly for berry harvester
An over the row berry harvester provides flexible cushioned elements and surfaces to limit bruising of the fruit harvested. A chassis defines a picking tunnel that passes over rows of plants. A picking system removes fruit from the plants as the harvester moves along the rows. A catching system configured to receive fruit removed from the plants. The catching system includes groups of catch assemblies with soft surfaces on each side of the picking tunnel, each of the catch assemblies at least partially overlapping adjacent catch assemblies. Each of the catch assemblies has a lightweight frame with an aperture and a membrane over molded to bond to the frame and extend across the aperture. The harvest also includes soft surfaces assemblies with membranes stretched between edge frame elements.
Device for harvesting fruit hanging from a plant as well as a method for harvesting fruit hanging from a plant
A device which is suitable for harvesting fruit hanging from a plant at least having a mobile frame, which frame at least comprises two opposite, longitudinal sides for guiding fruit. The frame further comprises fruit collecting devices adjoining the first longitudinal side. At least one longitudinal side is provided with wirelike, flexible elements extending from the first longitudinal side, over which elements the fruit can be guided.
HARVESTING UNIT COMPRISING CROP COLLECTING MATS
The invention concerns a harvesting unit including two shaker devices, and two collecting mats disposed under respectively one shaker device, each being formed by a longitudinal alignment of collecting modules that longitudinally overlap on one another, and transversely overlapping on one another at their inward edges to form therebetween a path for the passage of the trunks of the plants, each collecting module comprising a collecting member that presents an upper wall forming a part of the corresponding mat and is arranged to move away from the path upon bearing contact with a trunk, each collecting module further comprising a reinforcing member of the upper wall against deformations thereof along a direction normal to the upper wall, the reinforcing member being arranged to move away from the path upon bearing contact with a trunk.
Method for operating a work apparatus having an electric motor
An electric motor in a work apparatus has a power characteristic line which runs between a lower rotational speed of the electric motor and an upper rotational speed of the electric motor. The power characteristic line has a power characteristic with a pronounced maximum (M) and an operating plateau (AP) which lies in a working rotational speed range (AD) of the work apparatus. A method for operating the electric motor provides for configuring the position of the operating plateau (AP) to be variable with respect to the rotational speed of the electric motor to achieve stable operating points over a wide rotational speed range.
Harvesting unit for a harvesting machine
A harvesting unit including a chassis intended to be moved along rows of plants to be harvested, and a shaker system including a shaker device including: a drum operable to detach a crop from the plants, the drum including a drum shaft mounted for rotation on the chassis about a vertical axis and shaker organs mounted to the drum shaft; a rotational driving mechanism for the drum including a driven body and a first driving device engaged with the driven body to steer its rotation about the vertical axis; an oscillatory driving mechanism for the drum about the vertical axis including comprising an eccentric module and a second driving device engaged with the eccentric module to steer its rotation, the eccentric module being connected to the drum shaft by a mechanical member arranged to transform the eccentric rotation of the eccentric module into an oscillation of the drum shaft.
Conversion method of harvester picking head
A method is provided for converting a bow rod harvester into a trunk shaker harvester. In the bow rod harvester, a plurality of bow rods are attached to an oscillating member that is configured to reciprocate about a first vertical axis of a first vertical shaft of the bow rod harvester. In the conversion, the plurality of bow rods are removed from the oscillating member and a shaker rail is coupled to the oscillating member.
FRUIT TRANSPORT AND STORAGE DEVICE FOR TREE CULTIVATION MACHINES
A fruit transport and storage device for tree cultivation machines, of the straddle type or travelling above a row of trees, from which make the fruit thereof fall, by vibrating the trunk, onto respective belts located below the vibrating clamps on both sides of the row of trees to be harvested, which belts transport the fruit horizontally towards the rear portion of the machine, from where it is lifted by respective vertical belts and poured into respective sacks hung on the rear portion of the machine on both sides thereof. These sacks are supported by a mechanism that keeps them open in the loading position and has lowering device/unit/machine/apparatus/node or the like that deposits them on the ground once they are full of harvested fruit.
