HOT RUNNER DEVICE
A hot runner device for an injection molding machine, wherein the hot runner device has at least one hot runner system, and at least one sensor, actuator and/or initiator which can be connected to a control and regulating device via one or more signal and/or data paths, in particular lines, wherein process data and/or process signals can be transmitted via the one or more signal and/or data lines, characterized in that the hot runner device further comprises a data acquisition and backup device which is designed at least for acquiring and storing part or all of the process data and/or signals acquired on the hot runner system during operation of the injection molding machine and which is a functionally integral component of the hot runner device.

Injection molding apparatuses and methods wherein a valve pin is controllably driven upstream and downstream along an axis between a first closed position where the tip end of the valve pin obstructs the gate to prevent the injection fluid from flowing into the cavity, a full open position and one or more intermediate positions, wherein the valve pin is drivable to be disposed or held in a selected intermediate position for a selected period of time during the course of an injection cycle where the tip end of the valve pin restricts flow of injection fluid through the gate to the mold cavity.

INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE
An injection molding machine is provided with a selection unit which selects an operation mode from among a plurality of operation modes, a condition acquisition unit which acquires a present condition of the injection molding machine or of peripheral equipment of the injection molding machine, and a determination unit which, based on the selected operation mode and the present condition, determines whether or not manipulation in the operation mode is executable using a plurality of operation initiation conditions pertaining to the operation mode. The injection molding machine is also provided with a display control unit which, when the manipulation in the operation mode is not executable, causes interrelationships between the respective operation initiation conditions pertaining to the operation mode to be displayed in a prescribed display mode on a display unit.

According to one aspect of the disclosure, an injection molding machine is provided. In the injection molding machine, a control device includes a molding condition storage device and a determination device. The molding condition storage device stores molding conditions. Here, the molding conditions include at least one transition molding condition from a state in which molding is stopped to the initiation of normal molding, and a normal molding condition during normal molding. The determination device determines whether or not to perform molding using the transition molding conditions based on at least one of a time after the molding is stopped and a temperature at a predetermined position after the molding is stopped.

An apparatus for controlling the rate of flow of fluid mold material comprising: a manifold, a valve pin having a pin axis, a pin connector and a stem, the valve pin being drivable into and out of open and closed positions relative to the gate, an electric actuator comprising an electric motor comprised of a motor housing that houses a drive shaft having a drive gear and a drive axis, a transmission comprised of a transmission gear having a gear axis, the drive gear, the transmission gear and the valve pin being drivably interconnected and arranged such that the drive axis and the gear axis are non-coaxially mounted or disposed relative to each other and the valve pin is drivable linearly along the pin axis, wherein one or the other of the motor housing or the transmission housing are removably attached to a top clamping or mounting plate that is mounted upstream of the manifold and fixedly interconnected to a mold.

A method for determining positions of a real moulding material front during a process to be carried out with a moulding machine, wherein a simulation progression (SV) of a variable characteristic of the process is calculated, positions of a simulated moulding material front are determined from the simulation, the real process is carried out, and at least one measurement progression (MV) of the at least one characteristic variable is measured directly or indirectly, a transformation is chosen, which has at least one parameter (ΔV, kp, V.sub.unknown), the transformation is applied to the at least one simulation progression (SV), with the result that a transformed simulation progression (tSV) is formed, and a parameter value is determined for the parameter (ΔV, kp, V.sub.unknown) such that a deviation between the measurement progression (MV) and the transformed simulation progression (tSV) is minimized according to a predetermined error measure or according to an operator input.
