09897375 · 2018-02-20 · ·

A continuous flow dryer system according to various embodiments can include a source for supplying a material to be treated having a high moisture content, such as a distiller wet grain, a profile screw compression dryer, a profile screw, and a drive coupled to the profile screw for axially rotating the profile screw. The profile screw compression dryer includes an inlet for receiving the material for drying, which is fed therein in a controlled manner. The profile screw is provided within the housing of the dryer. The profile screw has a diameter that increases in dimension in a direction away from the inlet for increasing the compressive force applied to the material to assist with drying as the profile screw rotates and moves the material longitudinally along the profile screw to produce a final product, for example, a distiller dried grain for use as an animal feed.

Method for Monitoring a Film Bubble, and a Film-Blowing Installation

The invention describes a method for monitoring a film bubble (6) in an outlet region after it emerges from an outlet die and before it leaves a calibration apparatus of a blow film line, the method comprising the following steps: detecting the wavelength of the radiation emitted from at least two different locations of the outer surface of the blown film at different points in time following one another by means of at least one optical sensor determining locations of the same wavelength determining the variation over time of the locations of the same wavelength.

A weather seal includes an elongated micro-cellular foam bulb, and an elongated micro-cellular foam fin element attached to an extending along the length of the foam bulb. The fin elements includes a spine having opposed planar surfaces and at least one microcellular foam barb extending outwardly and at a downward angle from each surface and along the length of the spine. As an alternative to barbs, another option is to use a higher durometer foamed thermoplastic elastomer in a hollow circle shape that would push into a retention pocket. A t-slot version that has a foamed bulb and a polypropylene base is another option.

Process for the production of spunbonded nonwoven

The invention relates to a process for the production of spunbonded nonwoven and a device for the production of spunbonded nonwoven, wherein, in the process, a spinning mass is extruded through a plurality of nozzle holes to form filaments, the filaments are drawn in the extrusion direction, precipitated at least partially by being subjected to a coagulation air stream comprising a coagulation liquid and deposited to form the spunbonded nonwoven. To establish a process which permits a cost-efficient and simple adjustment of the air permeability of the spunbonded nonwoven, it is suggested that the air permeability of the spunbonded nonwoven is adjusted on the basis of at least one parameter of the coagulation air stream in that the actual air permeability of the spunbonded nonwoven is measured, the difference between the actual air permeability and a predefined target air permeability is determined and the at least one parameter of the coagulation air stream is changed as a function of the determined difference.

SEAM CONCEALMENT FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELS

A compression system includes a compression device and a controller. A treated material is pressed longitudinally through a compression chamber by simultaneously applying a lateral pressure and a two-dimensional cross-section compression which includes a pressure applied in a direction traverse to a direction of transport and a pressure applied in a direction parallel to the direction of transport. The controller controls the two-dimensional cross-section compression applied to the treated material such that, during compression, liquids in the treated material migrate to the outer surface of the treated material upon reaching the outlet orifice.

Methods and installations for producing a biaxially oriented tube from thermoplastic material

A method for producing a biaxially oriented tube from thermoplastic material, wherein a tube in preform condition is extruded from thermoplastic material and is subjected to a temperature conditioning. Use is made of an expansion device and of a drawing device which is arranged downstream of the expansion device. The expansion device includes a non-deformable expansion part and a run-on part located upstream of the expansion part and having an upstream sealing member. The expansion device further includes a first gas discharge duct having one or more first inlet ports in the exterior surface of the expansion device, a first inlet port being open or closed or partly closed dependent on whether or not the first inlet port is covered and closed, or partly closed, by the tube.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING THERMAL EXPANSION ISSUES IN A CORRUGATOR
20170066174 · 2017-03-09 ·

Pipe corrugators having opposed series of pushed mold blocks forming a moving mold tunnel are subject to significant thermal expansion and are designed with a thermal expansion gap. The present invention provides a method and apparatus for measuring changes in this expansion gap and preferably recognizing potential thermal issues before serious problems occur. A sensor is provided adjacent a mold block drive that preferably detects a time duration between sensing a trailing portion of a lead mold block and a leading edge of a following mold block separated from the lead mold block by the thermal expansion gap. This time duration in combination with a speed of the pushed mold blocks is used to calculate the size of the thermal expansion gap.
