EXTRUDER ARRANGEMENT AND A METHOD OF FEEDING FEED MATERIAL INTO AN EXTRUDER
An extruder arrangement and a method of feeding feed material into an extruder. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. 1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. 1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading Abstract of the Disclosure. The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.
System and Process for Halogenating Olefinic-Derived Elastomers in the Bulk Phase
A system for halogenating olefinic-based elastomer, the system comprising a first extruder, a first kneader vessel downstream of said first extruder and in fluid communication with said first extruder, a second extruder downstream of said first kneader vessel and in fluid communication with said first kneader vessel, a second kneader vessel downstream of said second extruder and in fluid communication with said second extruder; and a third extruder downstream of said second kneader vessel and in fluid communication with said second kneader vessel.
METHOD FOR MONITORING AND CONTROLLING A TWIN-SCREW EXTRUDER, AND TWIN-SCREW EXTRUDER
In the disclosed method, in order to control an extruder including two intermeshing screws for driving a material to be extruded, the following steps are performed while a material to be extruded is being processed by the extruder: constantly measuring the viscosity of the material in the flow of the material in the extruder, and adjusting the extruder in accordance with the viscosity measurement. In order to adjust the extruder in an effective and efficient manner, the rate at which the extruder is filled with material along the intermeshing screws is modified by adjusting, downstream from the screws, a flow cross-section for the material in accordance with the viscosity measurement.
METHOD FOR MOLDING TAILORED COMPOSITES
In at least one embodiment, a molding method for producing a molded article is provided. The method may include introducing polymer and fiber separately into an extruder in a first ratio to produce a first extruded material having a first fiber content and in a second ratio to produce a second extruded material having a second fiber content different from the first fiber content. The method may further include filling a first region of a mold with the first extruded material and a second region of the mold with the second extruded material. The extruded material may be formed as blanks for use in compression molding or may be introduced into an injection chamber for use in injection molding. The method may be used to form molded articles having a plurality of regions having different fiber contents.
Mixing Elements Having An Improved Dispersing Effect
The invention relates to mixing elements having an increased number of base geometry periods per longitudinal section and an improved dispersing effect for multi-shaft screw extruders comprising screw shafts that co-rotate in pairs. The mixing elements have clearances that are configured according to the method of spatial equidistants or according to the method of longitudinal equidistants. The invention further relates to the use of the mixing elements in multi-shaft screw extruders, a corresponding screw extruder comprising the mixing elements, and a method for extruding plastic masses.
Wet Grain Drying System and Method
A device according to various embodiments for drying wet grain can include a first screw configured to receive wet grain. A second screw receives the wet grain from the first screw. At least one mechanism is included within at least one of the first screw and the second screw to vaporize water content in the wet grain.
METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS RECYCLING OF SCRAPS OF FIBER AND CLOTH THAT ARE BASED ON THERMOPLASTIC MATERIALS
A method for continuous recycling of scraps of fiber and cloth that are based on thermoplastic materials in which when viewed in an extrusion direction, an extrusion apparatus is first supplied with the scrap composed of fibers and cloth and is then supplied with an additional fraction composed of thermoplastic polymers and additives, the supplied scrap and the additional fraction are mixed with each other in the extrusion apparatus, degassed, and then extruded together out of the extrusion apparatus forming an extrudate in which the scrap is embedded into the thermoplastic polymer of the additional fraction while at least partially retaining its fiber structure, with the mixing, degassing, and extruding of the scrap and the additional fraction being carried out at temperatures that lie below the softening temperature of at least one of the thermoplastic materials of the scrap.
SPINNING APPARATUS, NOZZLE HEAD AND SPINNING METHOD
According to one embodiment, a spinning apparatus includes a nozzle head, a power generating, and a first atmosphere controller. The nozzle head dispenses a source material liquid from a tip portion toward a collector. The power generating unit generates an electric potential difference between the tip portion and the collector. The first atmosphere controller controls an atmosphere of a first space at a periphery of the nozzle head.
Mixing Elements Having an Improved Dispersing Effect
The invention relates to mixing elements that have a larger number of basic geometric periods per section and an improved dispersing effect for multi-shaft screw extruders comprising screw shafts that co-rotate in pairs. The invention further relates to the use of the mixing elements in multi-shaft screw extruders, a corresponding screw extruder comprising the mixing elements, and a method for extruding kneadable materials.
Wet grain drying system and method
A device according to various embodiments for drying wet grain can include a first screw configured to receive wet grain. A second screw receives the wet grain from the first screw. At least one mechanism is included within at least one of the first screw and the second screw to vaporize water content in the wet grain.
