Tined-Tube Auger
A combine comprising a feeder housing, and an auger for receiving harvested crop. The auger includes an auger tube rotatable around an auger axis, and a tined-tube positioned inside the auger tube and rotatable around a tined-tube axis that is offset from the auger axis, the tined-tube including fingers extending from the tined-tube and protruding through the auger tube to convey the harvested crop to the feeder housing.
Transverse Conveyor of an Agricultural Harvesting Machine
Transverse conveyor (10) of an agricultural harvesting machine, with a basic body (13), the axis of rotation of which extends transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of a harvesting vehicle carrying the harvesting machine, and with at least two helical transverse conveyor elements (14a, 14b) which are connected to the basic body (13) and have at least two windings (15a, 15b), wherein the respective transverse conveyor element (14a, 14b) serves for conveying crop from a respective lateral edge portion (16, 18) of the transverse conveyor in the direction of a central portion (17) of the transverse conveyor. According to the invention, a distance between adjacently arranged windings (15a, 15c, 15b, 15d) of the transverse conveyor element (14a, 14c, 14b, 14d) is smaller in the region of the lateral edge portions (16, 18) of the transverse conveyor (10) than in the central portion (17) of the transverse conveyor (10).
DRIVE UNIT FOR A DOWN CROP ATTACHMENT ON A HEADER
An agricultural vehicle including a chassis and a header connected to the chassis. The header includes a frame and a plurality of row units connected to the frame. Each row unit includes at least one gathering chain having a plurality of protuberances affixed thereto and a rotational path, and at least one hood connected to the frame. The header also includes a down crop gatherer mounted to the at least one hood and having a rotational path, and a drive unit mounted to the at least one hood, operably connected in between the at least one gathering chain and the down crop gatherer. The drive unit is configured for translating a respective movement of each protuberance as the plurality of protuberances rotate with the at least one gathering chain to drive the down crop gatherer.
HARVESTING ATTACHMENT WITH HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE CROSS-FEEDING AUGER
A harvesting attachment includes a supporting frame, which is movable in a forward direction over a field. A pick-up device is attached to the supporting frame for picking up crop produce from the field. A height-adjustable cross-feeding auger is attached to the supporting frame. The cross-feeding auger is driveable by a drive shaft rotatably supported on the frame. A telescopic cardan shaft is arranged between the drive shaft and the cross-feeding auger to communicate torque therebetween.
CROSS AUGER MOUNTING DEVICE FOR FLEXIBLE HARVESTING HEADER
When using a cross auger assembly on a crop harvesting header with a flexible frame having end frame sections pivotal relative to a centre frame section, mounting devices are coupled between the bearing housings at opposing ends of the cross auger assembly and the outer ends of the end frame sections. Each mounting device includes a first mounting structure fixed relative to the outer end of the end frame section, a second mounting structure fixed to a portion of the respective bearing housing, and a flexible mounting arrangement between the mounting structures to accommodate variation in lateral positioning of the bearing housings relative to the ends of the flexible frame as the flexible frame flexes over varying ground contours without requiring a telescoping shaft arrangement on the cross auger assembly.
CHICK PEA HARVESTING METHOD AND APPARATUS
A combine for harvesting chick peas includes a first rotatable shaft having components that cut a crop and pass the cut crop in a rearward direction, and a drum that includes an outer shell with stationary threshers and a cut crop opening, a rotatable central mount, a plurality of rotatable threshers. Each of the rotatable threshers is attached to the central rotatable mount and in line with a stationary thresher. A plurality of cutters is attached to the outer shell, a flame source projects a flame into the drum, and a water source projects water into the drum. The cut crop passes into the cut crop opening, to be further cut by the plurality of cutters and threshed by the plurality of rotatable threshers, such that the flame and water are projected onto the cut crop, resulting in a processed crop and detritus that is separated from the processed crop.
CONVEYOR DRUM FILLER FOR DEBRIS EXCLUSION
A plastic filler for a cylinder conveyor, wherein the cylindrical conveyor includes a drum supported on a central shaft and defines a void therebetween, and wherein the plastic filler at least partially fills the void and thereby prevents the entry of contaminants into the void.
Agricultural header with constant reel to cutter relationship
A header for an agricultural vehicle includes: a header frame; a flexible cutter supported by the header frame and including a plurality of cutting edges; a reel including a plurality of reel sections movably supported by the header frame, each of the reel sections including a plurality of tines and being independently movable from the other reel sections; and at least one rigid link connecting the flexible cutter to one of the reel sections, the at least one rigid link being configured to transmit flexing forces acting on the flexible cutter to the connected one reel section such that a substantially constant separation is maintained between the flexible cutter and the connected one reel section.
Draper Header for Attachment to a Harvesting Machine
A draper header is attached to a harvesting machine by an adapter including a bottom feed draper and an upper feed roller driven by a coupling from an output of the machine rotatable about an axis parallel to the forward direction and a right angle gearbox. The feed roller is mounted at each end allowing independent up and down floating movement of the ends and there is provided a mechanical linkage using two chains and an idler shaft between the output shaft of the gear box an input shaft of the roller with a universal coupling therebetween. The gear box is located at least partly underneath the discharge opening and underneath the feed roller, rearwardly of the rear guide roller of the feed draper, rearwardly of the axis of rotation of the feed roller and underneath a feed pan which is inclined upwardly and rearwardly over the gear box.
