PLURAL NESTED PREFORM ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A plural preform assembly having nested preforms. The preforms are held together by an interference fit. The interference fit is provided by the friction between the preforms which occurs when the inner preform is inserted into the outer preform. At least one preform may have ribs extending radially towards the other preform. The ribs provided concentricity and interference to hold the preforms together during subsequent operations. The preforms may later be blow molded to provide a bag in bottle or similar container.
PLASTIC AEROSOL CONTAINER, PREFORM AND METHOD
A plastic aerosol container (10), an associated preform (10a) and a method of manufacturing the preform (10a) and container (10) is described. The container (10) comprises an adapter (20) that defines an opening (11) of the container (10), the opening (11) being arranged to receive and be sealed by an aerosol valve cap (3). The container (10) also comprises a body 40 that defines an internal volume of the aerosol container (10). The container (10) is blow-moulded from a preform (10a) ideally having a corresponding adapter (20a) and body (40a) which are secured to one another, with an expansion region (45a, 46a) of the body (40a) of the preform (10a) being arranged to be expanded to form the internal volume of the aerosol container (10).

An assembled preform (1) is provided for the making of a double-walled blown container, comprising a first external preform (10) which comprises a neck part (2) having an outer region (4) which includes a threaded region (5) and an inner region (3), and a second internal preform (11) arranged inside said first external preform (10), said internal preform (11) having a neck region (12) for cooperating in a locked manner with said inner neck region (3) of said external preform (10), and wherein between said external preform (10) and said internal preform (11) it is defined an inner volume (6) of interspace between the external preform (10) and the internal preform (11), said inner volume (6) being configured for the containing of a gas, and it is characterized in that said neck region (12) of said internal preform (11) comprises locking means (13,14,16) for cooperating by a locking interference with said inner region (3) of said neck part (2) of said external preform (10) when said internal preform (11) it is inserted in said external preform (10).
Container finish portion with polished buffer zone
A finish portion of a preform for rotatably engaging with a closure to seal contents within an interior of a container includes a body that begins at an opening to the interior, a sealing surface adjacent to the opening and including a first polished buffer zone configured to cooperate with a plug seal, and a transition surface extending from the sealing surface to a narrower handling surface. The first buffer zone is polished by way of a machine polishing technique.

A blowing mold (1) for molding a container (90), in particular a plastic bottle, by blow molding a preform (9) having a neck (93) and a neck ring (92), the blowing mold (1) being adapted to be opened and closed, and comprising at least two parts (25, 26) which, when the blowing mold (1) is closed, form a support (2), or striker plate, adapted to abut against the neck ring (92) of the preform (9); wherein a surface (20) of said support (2) is provided with one or more protrusions (21) adapted to come into contact with the portion (931) of the preform (9) below the neck ring (92), in particular to prevent a rotation thereof.

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a container, in which the occurrence of tears at a part corresponding to the sealing part of a preform is preventable during manufacture of the container by performing biaxial stretch blow molding on the preform formed by direct blow molding. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a container, comprising a step of manufacturing a container main body by performing biaxial stretch blow molding on a preform, wherein the preform includes a direct blow molded body formed by performing direct blow molding on a molten tubular parison, and the direct blow molded body is provided with a protruding sealing part in which a sealing part, formed by welding inner surfaces of the tubular parison to each other, protrudes from a main body part of the direct blow molded body.
