Composite functional polarized lens
A composite functional polarized lens is a polarized lens in which lens substrate layers made of, for example, an allyl diglycol carbonate resin (produced by PPG Industries: CR-39), an urethane resin or other predetermined resin are integrally formed on both front and back surfaces of a polarizing film by way of insert molding, wherein a first lens substrate layer formed on the front surface of both the front and back surfaces of the polarizing film contains a light absorber which is an ultraviolet absorber, an infrared absorber, photochromic light absorber or a thermochromic light absorber as an additional component, and a second lens substrate layer formed on the back surface does not contain the light absorber.
Method for producing and coating a lens
A method for producing and coating a lens includes: applying a curable paste along the edge of a first molding shell and along the edge of the second molding shell, connecting the two molding shells by means of a sealing element to form a unit, casting a monomer into the unit, curing the monomer and the paste so that the lens is formed, detaching the sealing element from the unit, separating the lens from the two molding shells, placing the lens in a vacuum chamber of a vacuum-coating installation, and coating an optical surface of the lens, wherein no washing process is carried out between the step of separating the lens from the two molding shells and the step of placing the lens in the vacuum chamber.
Injection molding apparatus, injection molding method and production method of molded product using injection molding apparatus, and laminated lens
An injection molding apparatus includes a substantially circular first substrate, a substantially circular second substrate disposed to face a surface of the first substrate, a fixing member which fixes a peripheral end portion of the first substrate and a peripheral end portion of the second substrate, and an injection portion which is provided in the fixing member and from which a composition is injected into a gap between the first substrate and the second substrate, in which a space connecting with the injection portion and the gap is provided in at least a part of a periphery of the gap, and a width of the space in a thickness direction is larger than a width of the gap in the thickness direction.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LENS FORMING MOLD, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING EYEGLASS LENS, AND EYEGLASS LENS
A lens-mold producing method includes a position and posture determining step of specifying positions and postures, in space coordinates, of a first mold having a molding surface for forming one optical surface of a lens and a second mold having a molding surface for forming the other optical surface, a mold holding step of rotating and/or inclining, based on the positions and postures in the space coordinates, at least one of the first and second mold, maintaining a rotation angle and/or an inclination angle of a reference plane of the first mold with respect to a reference plane of the second mold, and holding the first and second mold, and an assembling step of arranging the molding surfaces of the first and second mold so as to face each other, fixing outer peripheries of the first mold and the second mold, and assembling a lens mold.
Lens Casting System
An optical lens casting gasket, wafer, and system and method that provides for more efficient formation of optical lenses employing optically functional wafers.
Method for providing a male mold half for molding a toric ophthalmic lens at a predetermined target rotational orientation
A method of providing a male mold half for molding a toric contact lens at a predetermined target rotational orientation is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: providing the male mold half at a predetermined rotational orientation, picking the male mold half up with a gripper having a central axis, rotating the gripper with the male mold half about the central axis of the gripper by a predetermined rotational angle (?) towards the predetermined target rotational orientation, and releasing the rotated male mold half from the gripper. Prior to picking the male mold half up, the method comprises centering the grippe and the male mold half relative to each other such that the central axis of the gripper and a central axis of the male mold half coincide.
CAST MOULD FOR MANUFACTURING CONTACT LENSES OR INTRAOCULAR LENSES
A cast mould for manufacturing a contact lens or an intraocular lens, wherein the cast mould is provided with a central part and a bearing ring and a flexible connection between the central part and the bearing ring. Further, an injection mould is provided for manufacturing such a cast mould and a method for manufacturing such a cast mould. The injection mould is provided with a mould cavity with a plunger biased by spring means towards the mould cavity which serves for compensating shrinkage which occurs during the curing of the plastic injected into the injection mould. Also described is a method for manufacturing a contact lens or intraocular lens with the aid of the cast mould, as well as a contact lens or intraocular lens obtained with this method.
SPECTACLE LENS MANUFACTURING SYSTEM
