The present technology provides a pneumatic tire that can improve air dispersibility during vulcanizing at the interfaces of a plurality of types of rubber layers integrally formed by rolling or extruding, and that can effectively suppress blister defects. In a pneumatic tire where a plurality of types of rubber layers integrally formed by rolling or extruding, at least one strand of thread is provided at an interface of the plurality of types of rubber.
Device and method for analysis of tyres comprising first and second image acquistion systems
Device and method for analysis of tyres are presented. The device includes a support frame, a flange, and first/second image acquisition systems. According to one aspect, the first acquisition system is two-dimensional and includes a first camera having a first optical axis, a first focal plane, a first focal point, and a first depth of field, and a first illumination system that illuminates around the first focal point. According to another aspect, the second image acquisition system is three-dimensional and includes a second camera having a second optical axis, a second focal plane, and a second depth of field, and a second illumination system. A translation plane, substantially orthogonal to the first optical axis, is defined by the first focal point, and an intersection between the second optical axis and the second depth of field.
Film to keep tire surface clean and simultaneously prime for better adhesion of balance pad
The subject invention relates to a method of preparing a tire inner surface to attain better adhesion of balance pads, puncture sealants, and noise reduction foams. In this method a strip of multi-axially stretchable film is adhered to the inner surface of an uncured tire with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. Then a release agent coating is applied to the film strip on the inner surface of the uncured tire which is subsequently cured in a suitable mold at an elevated temperature. The cured tire is then removed from the mold and after allowing the cured tire to cool the annular circumferential film strip is removed from the inner surface of the tire to provide a circumferential release coating-free tire inner surface onto which balance pads, puncture sealants, and noise reduction foams can be adhered.
RFID mesh label, tire having RFID mesh label integrally incorporated therein, and methods of making
An RFID mesh label configured to be integrally incorporated within a vulcanized tire and to further provide unique identifier(s) and/or other information about the vulcanized tire during and/or post-vulcanization, the RFID mesh label including a face layer configured to be positioned adjacent or flush to an outer surface of the vulcanized tire; an RFID layer positioned underneath the face layer, the RFID layer having an RFID device that is configured to provide unique identifier(s) and/or other information about the vulcanized tire upon being read with an RFID reader; and a mesh backing overlying the RFID layer and adapted to be integrally incorporated in a vulcanized tire after subjecting a green tire to a vulcanization process.
COUNTERBALANCED TIRE PROFILE GENERATING MACHINE
A tire grinding machine includes a frame having a plurality of vertically extending posts. A chuck assembly is associated with the frame and adapted to receive and rotate a tire. A grinding assembly is associated with the frame and is movable with respect to the frame. The grinding assembly has at least one grinding element adapted to contact and remove material from the tire when rotated by the chuck assembly. A counterbalance assembly which has a cable with one end connected to a counterbalance weight and an opposite end connected to the grinding assembly is included. A block assembly may be coupled to the grinding assembly to allow pivotable movement thereof. A calibration adapter may be used to ensure proper positioning of the grinding elements, wherein a level adjuster may be used for this purpose.
Tire-trimming device and method
Provided are a tire-trimming device and method. The method includes: detecting a profile of a tire outer surface and a position thereof by using a profile sensor while rotating the tire; inputting data detected by the profile sensor into a control unit; when removing the unnecessary rubber components, selecting, from among a plurality of different types of the trimming tool, a trimming tool which is of a type set in the control unit in advance for use in a location on which the unnecessary rubber components are formed; moving the selected trimming tool and the tire relative to one another on the basis of the data detected by the profile sensor; and positioning a tip end section of the trimming tool along the detected profile of the tire outer surface.
Tire uniformity correction using multiple correction tracks
Systems and methods for correcting uniformity of a cured tire using ablation of material along a plurality of tracks along the bead portion of the tire are provided. An ablation pattern can be determined to correct for a uniformity parameter for multiple tracks along a bead portion of a tire. The ablation pattern for each track can be analyzed to determined direct address commands for implementing the ablation pattern using an ablation device. The direct address commands can be determined according to an adjustment process to improve cycle time for the ablation of a tire. The adjustment process can be operable to more closely align azimuthal positions of ablation segments specified by direct address commands for different tracks along the bead of the tire.
