Elastomer composition for a tire object having a self-sealing property

Elastomer composition having a self-sealing property which can be used in particular as puncture-resistant layer in an inflatable article, based on at least (phr meaning parts by weight per 100 parts of solid elastomer): a blend of at least two solid elastomers, a polybutadiene or butadiene copolymer elastomer, referred to as elastomer A, and a natural rubber or synthetic polyisoprene elastomer, referred to as elastomer B, the elastomer A: elastomer B ratio by weight being within a range from 10:90 to 90:10; between 30 and 90 phr of a hydrocarbon resin; from 0 to less than 30 phr of filler. Inflatable article, such as a tire, provided with a puncture-resistant layer comprising this elastomer composition; the puncture-resistant layer is advantageously used in combination with an airtight layer, for example based on butyl rubber or TPS elastomer, in order to form, in the inflatable article, an airtight and puncture-resistant laminate.

The strip is formed of a single layer including a first layer arranged in a tire innermost layer or composite layers of the first layer and a second layer disposed adjacently to a carcass ply and made of a thermoplastic elastomer composition. The first layer is a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing a styrene-isobutylene-styrene block copolymer and a tackifier, a butyl-based rubber and a natural rubber. The strip has a strip main body having a thickness (T1) of 0.02 to 1.0 mm and ear portions formed on opposite sides of the strip main body. The ear portions have a thickness (T2) smaller than the thickness (T1) and a width (W2) of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm.

PNEUMATIC TIRE FOR RESONANCE NOISE REDUCTION, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
20170157997 · 2017-06-08 ·

A pneumatic tire for resonance noise reduction, which includes a plurality of resonance noise-reducing members that are disposed along the circumferential direction of the inner liner of a tire, and are formed to protrude from the inner liner so as to reduce the interference of the resonance noises generated inside the tire. The resonance noise-reducing members are formed at an irregular interval of disposition along the circumferential direction of the inner liner. Because the resonance noise-reducing members are formed integrally with the inner liner of a tire, the resonance noise-reducing members can be prevented from falling off from the tire even during high-speed driving of the vehicle, and can reduce the resonance noises generated inside the tire by reducing the phenomenon of resonant vibration occurring inside the tire. Thus, safe driving can be realized, with reduced disturbances caused by noises made during vehicle driving.

PNEUMATIC TIRE
