Mold for a tire with an annular insert made up of a plurality of portions

A mold for vulcanizing and molding a tire is provided herein. The tire includes a tread delimited by two sidewalls, the mold including a ring for molding the tread of the tire and two shells for molding the sidewalls. The mold includes an annular groove extending in a recessed manner in one of the shells and an insert housed in the groove, this insert having tire marking elements and being formed from a plurality of insert parts that are positioned one after another in the annular groove.

PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING TYRES FOR VEHICLE WHEELS

In the production of tyres for vehicle wheels in which at least one colored label (200) is provided on at least one of the sidewalls of the tyre, a green tyre is arranged inside a vulcanization mold comprising a first half-shell (50), a second half-shell opposite to the first half-shell (50) and a crown of circumferential sectors configured to air-tightly couple with the first half-shell (50) and with the second half-shell when the vulcanization mold is closed. Each label (200) comprises a layer of colored cross-linkable elastomeric material. Each label (200) is arranged in a predetermined position on a first support surface (50a) defined in at least one of the aforementioned first and second half-shell. The green tyre is arranged inside the vulcanization mold so that one of the sidewalls of the green tyre rests on such a support surface (50a). The mold is then closed and the co-vulcanization of the green tyre and of the label(s) (200) inside the vulcanization mold starts, holding in position the labels (200) on the first support surface (50a) during at least one initial part of the vulcanization.

A non-pneumatic or pneumatic tire includes an area for tire indicia or markings. The tire includes a hub region and a tread layer. The tread layer of the tire has a shoulder with a cut out extending either partially or entirely around the shoulder of the tire tread layer. The angle of the notched or beveled portion is 45-135° with respect to an axial direction along the tread layer shoulder, and at least one indicia disposed on the at least one flat surface. The placement of the markings may be radially along the surface of the cut out portion or axially along the surface of the cut out portion. The markings may be recessed, stamped, molded, painted or applied with ink to the cut out portion. Alternatively, the indicia or marking may be applied to a decal and applied to the cut out portion.

A tire side surface of a pneumatic tire includes a two-dimensional code in which a dot pattern is formed by two types of gray scale elements formed identifiable from each other by recesses and protrusions of the tire side surface, or a predetermined two-dimensional code arrangement region. The tire side surface further includes at least two marks formed in a protruded shape or a recessed shape, and the two marks are disposed on an identical position in a first direction of a tire radial direction and a tire circumferential direction and disposed separated from each other at different positions in a second direction of the tire radial direction and the tire circumferential direction to sandwich an outer edge of the two-dimensional code or the predetermined two-dimensional code arrangement region from the opposite sides in at least one of the tire radial direction or the tire circumferential direction.

Ball hitch tip out plug, triangle leg tip out plug, combination, and tip out plug tool

A combination of first and second plugs for a tire mold includes associated first and second receivers/jackets. Fasteners secure the receiver to an associated tire mold. A securing member extends from the receiver into the cavity of the first receiver to retain the first plug therein. The first plug is contoured and dimensioned for mating receipt in the first receiver cavity. The second plug is likewise contoured and dimensioned for mating receipt in the associated second receiver cavity, but will not be accepted in the first receiver. A tool is provided to facilitate insertion and removal of the first and second plugs, and limit the potential for damage to the associated tire mold.

Rubber Member, Tire, and Method of Manufacturing Rubber Member

A vehicle tire, as a rubber member, includes, on at least a part of the surface thereof, a fine ridged/grooved structure formed via transfer from a mold and having fine ridged/grooved portions arranged at a constant arrangement pitch, wherein a region in which the fine ridged/grooved structure is provided is visually recognizable by a different structural color from the colors of other regions.
