Sole Structures Including Polyolefin Plates and Articles of Footwear Formed Therefrom
Sole structures including a plate including a first polyolefin resin, and an edge portion comprising a second resin are disclosed herein. The edge portion is more flexible or less rigid than the plate. Articles of footwear formed from the sole structures are also provided. Methods of making the polyolefin resin compositions, plates, edge portions, sole structures, and articles of footwear are also provided. In some aspects, the first polyolefin resin composition includes an effective amount of a polymeric resin modifier.
METHOD FOR FORMING A FOOTWEAR MIDSOLE
Methods and systems are provided for forming an article of footwear. In one example, forming the article of footwear includes using a perforated last during molding of a midsole of the article of footwear. The midsole may be attached to a seam of the upper of the article footwear to secure the midsole to the upper.
Method for producing a sole of a shoe, in particular of a sports shoe
The invention relates to a method for producing a sole (1) of a shoe. According to the invention, to produce a sole with cavities in a process-stable manner, the method comprises the following steps: a) producing a first sole part (2) in a first mould or mould part (3) by injecting the sole material into a mould cavity (4) of the first mould (3), wherein a number of volume elements (5) protrude into the mould cavity (4) and create cavities (6) in the first sole part (2); b) producing a second sole part (7) in a second mould (8) by injecting the sole material into a mould cavity (9) of the second mould (8), wherein a number of volume elements (10) protrude into the mould cavity (9) and create cavities (6) in the second sole part (7); c) after the first and second sole parts (2, 7) have solidified: removing the first and second sole parts (2, 7) from the first and second mould (3, 8) and placing the first and second sole parts (2, 7) into a third mould (11); d) pouring a joining material (14) over at least one section (12, 13) of the first and second sole parts (2, 7), the sections (12, 13) of the first and second sole part (2, 7) over which the material is poured adjoining each other, in order to join the first and second sole parts (2, 7) to each other.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear includes an upper and a strobel stitched to the upper at a series of stitches disposed in stitch holes that extend through the strobel. The strobel and the upper define a foot-receiving cavity with an inner surface of the strobel disposed at the foot-receiving cavity. A midsole is secured to the upper and an outer surface of the strobel is disposed at the midsole. The stitch holes are obstructed such that the stitch holes are not exposed to both the midsole and the foot-receiving cavity. Accordingly, when a flowable polymeric material is injected in a mold cavity to form the midsole with the lower portion of the upper and the strobel in the mold cavity, the stitch holes will not provide a path for entry of the flowable polymeric material into the foot-receiving cavity. A method of manufacturing an article of footwear is disclosed.
Shoe manufacturing
Example shoe manufacturing methods and related computer readable medium for implementing a portion of said manufacturing methods are disclosed herein. In some examples, the method includes placing an upper member about an upper portion of a last, wherein the last is a form for the shoe. In addition, the method includes producing a lasting based on data relating to a foot of a user, and attaching the lasting to the upper member, wherein the lasting extends over a lower portion of the last. Further, the method includes molding a sole onto the lasting and the upper member, and removing the last from the upper member.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SOLE OF A SHOE, IN PARTICULAR OF A SPORTS SHOE
A sole structure includes a forefoot region, a midfoot region, and a heel region along a longitudinal direction of the article of footwear. The sole structure includes a midsole, which has a plurality of cavities defined by outer edges, and each of the cavities of the plurality of cavities extends between a lateral side of the footwear and a medial side of the footwear. Each cavity of the plurality of cavities is defined by a first rounded end, a second rounded end opposite of the first rounded end, a front side edge, and a rear side edge. The front side edge and the rear side edge connect the first rounded end with the second rounded end and the plurality of cavities is configured to programmably collapse or deform the sole structure when a force is applied downward.
A Footwear Moulding System for Direct Injection Production of Footwear and a Method for Manufacturing Footwear
A footwear molding system for direct injection production of footwear. The system includes an injection mold and a mold closing member. The mold closing member includes at least one vacuum channel. The at least one vacuum channel is connected directly or indirectly to at least one vacuum opening on the surface of the mold closing member. The mold closing member is configured for positioning at least part of a footwear upper during at least part of a direct injection production process. The at least part of a footwear upper being at least partly adhered to the mold closing member by vacuum effected by the at least one vacuum opening.
Footwear component manufacturing methods
Physical foaming a footwear component with a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid is provided. The method include temperature conditioning a mold and then engaging the mold with a robot that conveys the mold to a press. At the press a gas counter pressure is applied to a cavity of the mold before injecting a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid into the cavity of the mold. The process continues with releasing the gas counter pressure from the cavity of the mold and then removing the footwear component from the cavity of the mold. The parameters of the method are configured for the formation of the footwear component in an automated manner.
