Methods of forming laminates

Methods for making tip bonded formed laminates are made from multiple layers of formed substrates made from films which are bonded together at the tips of their formed protrusions. Tip bonded laminates can be designed with greater resistance to bending, improved resilience to compression, and can be patterned for directionally oriented responses to tensile loads. Also, tip bonded formed laminates made from multiple layers of formed substrates can use their layered structure to provide better aesthetics as well as better physical properties such as improved puncture resistance. Tip bonded formed laminates can be configured with thicker portions and designed patterns, which are appealing to consumers. A tip bonded formed laminate can be made from two or more formed substrates and can be used instead of a single, thick, unformed, substrate, so the laminate can use about the same amount of material, while still providing surprising functional benefits.

Mouth Guard Having Low-Profile Printed Circuit Board For Sensing And Notification Of Impact Forces

A mouth guard senses impact forces and determines if the forces exceed an impact threshold. If so, the mouth guard notifies the user of the risk for injury by haptic feedback, vibratory feedback, and/or audible feedback. The mouth guard system may also remotely communicate the status of risk and the potential injury. The mouth guard uses a local memory device to store impact thresholds based on personal biometric information obtained from the user and compares the sensed forces relative to those threshold values. The mouth guard and its electrical components on the printed circuit board are custom manufactured for the user such that the mouth guard provides a comfortable and reliable fit, while ensuring exceptional performance.

Microwave and electromagnetic heated foaming method, mold and foaming material thereof

Present invention is related to a microwave and electromagnetic heated foaming method, mold and foaming material thereof. The microwave and electromagnetic heated foaming method comprises steps of adding a foam material into a mold, simultaneously applying a microwave and electromagnetic energy toward the mold under a normal or low pressure, and the microwave and electromagnetic energy made the foam material into molded foam body. The mold of the present invention has a microwave penetrating part and an electromagnetic heating part. The microwave penetrating part has an extruded bottom that is corresponded to a dented top of the electromagnetic heat penetrating part. By utilizing the microwave and electromagnetic energy, the present invention is about to provide an efficient way for processing the foaming material compared to the conventional infrared or electrical heated tube heating and achieve the foam method that can be executed under normal or low pressure.
