The invention relates to a tube manufacturing method comprising steps of: enclosing a parison (14) in a mold (6) to form a blank (15) having a first end portion shaped to form a first tube head, a tubular central portion, and a second end portion shaped to form a second tube head, and cutting the tubular central portion (22) into a first skirt and a second skirt to obtain two separate tubes, namely a first tube including the first tube head and the first skirt, and a second tube including the second tube head and the second skirt.
ETHYLENE-VINYL ALCOHOL RESIN COMPOSITION PELLET
A pelletized resin composition according to the present invention contains an ethylene-vinyl alcohol resin (A), a polyamide (B), and a lower fatty acid magnesium salt (C) each in a specific amount, wherein the polyamide resin (B) is dispersed in the ethylene-vinyl alcohol resin (A) with an average dispersed particle diameter of 1 μm or less as determined using an electron microscope, and the lower fatty acid magnesium salt (C) is dispersed in both the ethylene-vinyl alcohol resin (A) and the polyamide resin (B). Accordingly, a pelletized resin composition that is superior in hue can be obtained. In addition, a film that is superior in thermal stability in the film formation, the appearance immediately after the film formation, and the appearance after the heating treatment is obtained.
Heat sealing thru food contaminants
A container is provided with a flange defining a container opening that may help expunge food product as the film and seal head comes down on the container flange. The flange of the container opening has a predetermined angle. The container flange with its sealing surface generally deflects or angularly pivots when sealed with the film during the sealing process. The container flange and film may push product contamination from the sealing surfaces inwardly into the container. The flange may be continuous about the periphery of the container opening.

Method for producing hollow bodies from thermoplastic material and apparatus for carrying out the method
The invention relates to a method for producing hollow bodies from thermoplastic material and to an apparatus for carrying out the method. The method comprises the molding of at least two sheet-like preforms in web form of thermoplastic material into two complementary shells in a multi-part tool, which in a closed position forms a mold impression, and the joining together of the shells to form an essentially closed hollow body, the preforms being brought between the parts of the tool in an opened receiving position of the parts of the tool and the preforms being placed into the part-cavities by applying differential pressure and being at least partially molded in them into shells. The shells are joined together to form an essentially closed hollow body by closing the tool to form a closed mold impression. The method is distinguished by the fact that the preforms are molded in the part-cavities while the parts of the tool are located in the opened receiving position.
SAPONIFIED ETHYLENE-VINYL ESTER COPOLYMER COMPOSITION, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
An EVOH resin composition excellent in inorganic compound dispersibility and a method of producing an EVOH resin composition excellent in productivity and inorganic compound dispersibility are provided. The EVOH resin composition contains an EVOH resin (A) and an inorganic compound (B), and has a crystallinity of not lower than 36%. The EVOH resin composition is produced by: feeding an EVOH resin (A), an inorganic compound (B) and water (C) into a kneading apparatus including a screw-type side feeder (3); melt-kneading the resulting EVOH resin mixture while driving the screw-type side feeder (3); and expelling water vapor from the screw-type side feeder (3) to reduce the water content of the EVOH resin mixture to lower than 5 weight % while suppressing leakage of the EVOH resin kneaded body from the screw-type side feeder (3).
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLEXIBLE TUBE BODIES FOR PACKAGING TUBES, FLEXIBLE TUBE BODY FOR PACKAGING TUBES, AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING FLEXIBLE TUBE BODIES FOR PACKAGING TUBES
The invention relates to a method for producing flexible tube bodies (18) for packaging tubes from a film substrate (1) which has a print, preferably on an outer side (2), and which has or consists of at least one weldable plastic layer and which comprises a first longitudinal edge side (8), which extends in a longitudinal direction, and a second longitudinal edge side (8′) parallel thereto and spaced apart therefrom, wherein the film substrate (1) is shaped by shaping means (23) to form a tube, and the two longitudinal edge sides (8, 8′) are in particular welded to one another with the formation of a longitudinal weld seam, wherein a strip (12) is arranged, in the region of the abutment point and/or of the longitudinal weld seam, in the interior (17) of the film substrate (1) shaped to form the tube and is connected, in particular welded, to the longitudinal edge sides (8, 8′) at least in certain regions or portions. According to the invention, prior to the formation of the longitudinal weld seam, at least one longitudinal edge side (8′) is shaped, in particular cut, in such a way that, in the film substrate (1) shaped to form the tube, the longitudinal edge sides (8, 8′) bear against one another, in particular in abutting fashion, radially only in the region of the outer side (2) with at least one tip (9) formed by the shaping operation.
