Agricultural device
An agricultural device associated with reduced tillage techniques in a field includes a frame and at least one mower module supported by the frame, the at least one mower module positionable to cut plant matter between adjacent crop rows in the field. The plant matter has penetrated a previously formed mat of at least partially crushed residual plant matter.
Unknown
mowing device has a central frame mounted on wheels (16a, 16b) carrying at least two mowing units (20a, 20b) which are each connected to the central frame (12) via a connection unit (24a, 24b), wherein a connection unit (24a, 24b) includes a main pivot arm (28a, 28b) and an outer pivot arm (26a, 26b), the outer pivot arm (26a, 26b) connected to the main pivot arm (28a, 28b) in such a manner that it is pivotable about an outer arm joint (34a, 34b) relative to the main pivot arm (28a, 28b), the connection unit (24a, 24b) further including a mowing unit joint (32a, 32b) for connecting the mowing unit (20a, 20b) to the outer pivot arm (26a, 26b), the mowing unit joint (32a, 32b) arranged at the end of the outer pivot arm (26a, 26b) that is remote from the outer arm joint (34a, 34b).
TOOL BAR MOUNTED FOLDING WING MOWER APPARATUS
A mower apparatus has a tool bar mounted on wheels has a center section and right and left wing sections pivotally attached to the center section. When the tool bar is in an operating position the wing sections extend laterally from the center section perpendicular to the operating travel direction, and in a transport position the wing sections extend rearward or forward from the center section. A plurality of mowing units is attached to the tool bar such that when the tool bar is in the operating position each mowing unit extends rearward from the tool bar, and when the tool bar is in the transport position each mowing unit extends upward from the tool bar.
Mowing device with a working configuration and a transport configuration and a method of operation
A mowing device has an elongate frame with opposing longitudinal ends and two mowing units disposed on opposite longitudinal sides of the frame. Each mowing unit has an elongate support with a first pivot joint (G1) by which a first of the opposing longitudinal ends of the support is hinged on one of the longitudinal sides to pivot about a horizontal rotational axis (A) extending in the longitudinal direction (LR1) of the frame. A bar-shaped mower is hinged on a second the opposing longitudinal ends of the support in order to extend, in a working position, longitudinally horizontally and transversely to the longitudinal direction (LR1). A second pivot joint (G2) provides a rotational axis (A2) that extends vertically, transversely to the first rotational axis (A1) to allow for mower pivoting to a transport position.
Wide area turf mower
A wide area turf mower has a wheel supported main frame and cutting units movably connected to the main frame and positioned in rows in a staggered order to form a mower cutting configuration for cutting a continuous swath of turf between any two outer cutting units located respectively on opposite sides of the main frame. One row of the cutting units includes a first pair of pivotally interconnected outer and inner cutting units at a first side of the main frame, and a second pair of pivotally interconnected inner and outer cutting units at the second side of the main frame. First hydraulic cylinders cause the outer cutting units to fold in a direction towards the rear end of the main frame. Second hydraulic cylinders cause the inner cutting units to lift in an upward direction. A controller operates all of the hydraulic cylinders.
Mower with reconfigurable crop material ejection
A plain mower includes a plurality of rotary cutters for cutting a crop and a swathing unit for forming the cut crop material into a swath. The swathing unit includes an auger that rotates about an axis to transport crop material axially through the swathing unit. The swathing unit can be configured in a first configuration in which the crop material is ejected axially from the auger, and can be reconfigured in a second configuration in which the crop material is ejected radially from the auger.
WIDE AREA TURF MOWER
A wide area turf mower (10) has a wheel supported main frame (12) and cutting units (22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34) movably connected to the main frame (12) and positioned in rows (36, 38, 40) in a staggered order to form a mower cutting configuration for cutting a continuous swath of turf between any two outer cutting units (26, 32) located respectively on opposite sides of the main frame (12). One row (38) of the cutting units comprises a first pair of interconnected outer and inner cutting units (26, 28) at a first side (18) of the main frame (12) and a second pair of interconnected inner and outer cutting units (30, 32) at the second side (20) of the main frame (12). The inner cutting units (28, 30) are pivotally connected to the main frame and the outer cutting units (26, 32) are pivotally connected to a respective inner cutting unit (28, 30). Hydraulic cylinders (42, 44) cause the outer cutting units (26, 32) to fold in a direction towards the rear end of the main frame (12). Hydraulic cylinders (50, 52) cause the inner cutting units (28, 30) to lift in an upward direction. A controller operates all of the hydraulic cylinders.
Side-shifting rear-mounted mower with load cell sensor
A system including an agricultural vehicle, a rear-mounted mower coupled to the agricultural vehicle by a rear hitch, a front-mounted mower coupled to the agricultural vehicle by a front hitch, and a control system. The control system is configured to control the rear-mounted mower by obtaining a signal from a sensor positioned on the front hitch coupled to the front-mounted mower. Then assigning a value to the signal, determining if the value exceeds a threshold, transmitting an instruction to adjust the rear-mounted mower laterally, and executing the instruction by adjusting the rear-mounted mower laterally to a lateral position.
Two-stage mowing apparatus and method
A system and method according to one embodiment are provided in a vehicle to perform a two-stage cut of grass or other vegetation in a field or lawn. The first stage may be a coarse cut stage, and the second stage may be a finish cut stage. The first and second stages may be conducted by separate cutting configurations. For instance, the first cutting configuration or coarse cutting configuration may be a flail mower configuration, and the second cutting configuration or finish cutting configuration may be a rotary cutting configuration.
