Fiber-Reinforced Resin Shaped Product Having Grains on at Least Part of Surface
A fiber-reinforced resin shaped product includes: reinforcing fibers with a weight average fiber length of 100 mm or less; and a thermoplastic resin. The fiber-reinforced resin shaped product has grains on at least a part of a surface thereof. A maximum height (Rz) of the grains is 100 m to 200 m, and an average pitch (Rsm) between adjacent grains is 1100 m or less.
Plunger fuel pump for an internal combustion engine
A plunger fuel pump for an internal combustion engine includes a pump cylinder and a pump plunger that is axially displaceable in the pump cylinder. The plunger fuel pump has a seal with an annular basic structure arranged around the circumference of the pump plunger. The seal is produced by injection molding in an axial injection direction.
IMPELLER
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the mechanical strength of a boss in correspondence with the direction in which the principal stress is generated in an impeller formed of fiber-reinforced resin. A hub 11 is provided with a first region arranged on the back surface 11b side, and a second region arranged on the front surface 11a side. In the first region the frequency with which the reinforcement fibers F dispersed at the periphery of a boss hole 12 are oriented inclined with respect to the radial direction of the hub 11 is high, and in the second region the frequency with which the reinforcement fibers dispersed at the periphery of the boss hole are oriented along the rotational axis line is high.
Fiber reinforced resin gear, method of forming fiber reinforced resin gear by injection molding, fiber reinforced resin rotary body, method of forming fiber reinforced resin rotary body by injection molding
Plural ejector pins are made to project before a molten resin containing reinforcing fibers is injected into an inside of a cavity through pin point gates in a web forming portion in the inside of the cavity and at positions outside the pin point gates in a radial direction. The ejector pins are retracted from the inside of the cavity after a flow of the molten resin containing reinforcing fibers injected into the inside of the cavity through the pin point gates impinges on the ejector pins and is divided and before a tooth portion forming portion in the inside of the cavity is filled with the molten resin containing reinforcing fibers. Accordingly, weld lines which extend along the radial direction are formed at positions outside the ejector pins in the radial direction, and the molten resin is filled in portions formed after the ejector pins are retracted.
Pump Liner With Improved Fiber Orientation
A molded liner member for a fluid pump is disclosed. The liner member includes a generally annular ring, having an inner surface, an outer surface which is substantially concentric with the inner surface, and first and second end surfaces. The annular ring is molded from fiber reinforced polymer, and a majority of the fiber reinforcements in the polymer are oriented substantially parallel to an axis passing through the center of the annular ring. A method for making the liner member is also disclosed.
Forming Composite Features Using Steered Discontinuous Fiber Pre-Preg
Interlaminar features of a composite structure are laid up by placing and steering individual chopped fiber pre-preg segments onto a substrate.
Structural body of differing thicknesses, and method of manufacturing thereof
A structural body of differing thicknesses are provided that is made of resin, and a method of manufacturing thereof, that can improve quality in a case in which plate thickness changing portions extend in plural directions. A first panel portion and a second panel portion are connected by a first gradually changing portion. The first panel portion and a third panel portion are connected by a second gradually changing portion. The second panel portion and the third panel portion are connected by a third gradually changing portion. Further, an opening portion is formed to pass-through a door inner panel at a position where respective extensions of the first gradually changing portion, the second gradually changing portion and the third gradually changing portion intersect one another as seen in a plate thickness direction.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC PRODUCT
An apparatus and the method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced plastic product may manufacture a fiber reinforced plastic product by using a 3D printing method and enable the fiber reinforced plastic product to have mechanical physical properties against X, Y, and Z-direction loads, by uniformly arranging reinforcing fibers in the X, Y, and Z directions in respect of orientation distribution, and then by spraying a photocurable resin over the reinforcing fibers so that the reinforcing fibers are impregnated with the photocurable resin.
STATIC MIXING NOZZLES FOR LONG FIBER AND RESIN MIXING AND DISPERSING IN POLYMER ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
An additive manufacturing system for additive manufacturing material with long fibers includes an extruder comprising a nozzle that includes a static-mixing portion, a compression portion, and a long fiber alignment portion. The static-mixing portion includes a static-mixing channel with static-mixing rods distributed inside and extending radially inward from a channel wall. The long fiber alignment portion has an alignment channel with a diameter D.sub.AC that is less than a diameter D.sub.SMC of the static-mixing channel. The compression portion includes with a reducing diameter from an input end to an output end of the compression channel. A nozzle and method for additive manufacturing are also disclosed.
HIGHLY ALIGNED FIBER NOZZLE FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING APPLICATIONS
An additive manufacturing system for an additive manufacturing material and embedded short-chopped fibers includes an extruder comprising a nozzle having a nozzle flow channel. The nozzle includes a plurality of spaced apart elongated aligning structures distributed inside the nozzle flow channel and parallel to the longitudinal center axis defining alignment flow channels within the nozzle flow channel. A nozzle for additive manufacturing, a method of additive manufacturing, and a method of making a nozzle for an additive manufacturing system for and additive manufacturing material and embedded short-chopped fibers are also disclosed.
