Polyamide composition, comprising (i) at least one aliphatic polyamide or semi-aromatic polyamide or mixture thereof; (ii) glass fibres; (iii) at least one non-fibrous reinforcing material in an amount of up to 8 wt.-%; (iv) at least one black dye of the monoazo complex type; (v) optionally one or more further additives.
Process for producing a cured 3D product
The invention is directed to a process for producing a cured 3D product comprising the following steps: (a) providing a form negative mould of the 3D product comprising of one or two formed plastic sheets as obtained by thermoforming corresponding with the shape of the 3D product; (b) adding a liquid curable composition to the mould such that the inner surface of the mould is covered by the curable composition; and (c) solidifying the curable composition wherein a solidified layer or body is formed having the shape of the 3D product; wherein the cured 3D product is a radiation cured 3D product; and wherein the step (c) a radiation curable composition is solidified by radiation through the plastic sheet of the mould to form a solidified layer having the shape of the 3D product.
System and method for making pin reinforced sandwich panel and resulting panel structure
A system for forming a structural member which includes a first collimated light source and a reservoir containing a volume of photo-monomer resin wherein the first collimated light source is positioned spaced apart from the photo-monomer resin. The system further includes a first face sheet structure defining at least one bore which extends through the first face sheet structure wherein a portion of the first face sheet structure is positioned under a surface of the volume of photo-monomer resin such that photo-monomer resin is positioned within the bore.
Composite preform and method for producing the same, composite container and method for producing the same, and composite container product loaded with beer
[Problem] To provide a composite preform that can ensure that worsening of the appearance of a surface of a plastic member caused by near-infrared heating prior to blow molding is effectively prevented and that an inner preform is efficiently heated. [Solution] The composite preform of the present invention includes a preform and a heat-contractive plastic member, the preform including a mouth part; a trunk part linked to the mouth part; and a bottom part linked to the trunk part, and the heat-contractive plastic member being disposed so as to surround the outside of the preform and including at least a colored layer that contains a resin material and a colorant, wherein the heat-contractive plastic member has a near-infrared transmittance of 50% or higher.
Integrated depth sensor window lens and method
A method of making an integrated depth sensor window lens, such as for an augmented reality (AR) head set, the depth sensor window lens comprising a sensor lens and an illuminator lens separated by an opaque dam. The method uses a two-shot injection molding process, a first shot comprising an optically clear polymeric material to form the sensor lens and the illuminator lens and the second shot comprising an opaque polymeric material to form the separator of the two.
SILICONE HYDROGEL LENS WITH A CROSSLINKED HYDROPHILIC COATING
The invention is related to a cost-effective method for making a silicone hydrogel contact lens having a crosslinked hydrophilic coating thereon. A method of the invention involves autoclaving, in a sealed lens package, a silicone hydrogel contact lens having a base coating of polyacrylic acid thereon in an aqueous solution in the presence of a water-soluble, crosslinkable hydrophilic polymeric material having epoxide groups, for a period of time sufficient to covalently attach the crosslinkable hydrophilic polymeric material onto the surface of the silicone hydrogel contact lens through covalent linkages each formed between one epoxide group and one of the carboxyl groups on and/or near the surface of the silicone hydrogel contact lens.
POLYMERIC CUTTING EDGE STRUCTURES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING POLYMERIC CUTTING EDGE STRUCTURES
A functional polymeric cutting edge structure and methods for manufacturing cutting edge structures using polymeric materials are provided. A razor blade for use in a razor cartridge or a blade box for assembly in a razor cartridge frame may be formed using the present invention.
