Container and method of manufacture
A method includes injection molding a preform using a two phase injection system having a first phase in which a material is injected into the preform and a second phase in which the material is injected into the preform. The preform is disposed in a mold. The preform is blow molded into an intermediate article. The intermediate article is trimmed to form a finished container. The first phase includes injecting a material into the preform to form a single layer of the preform and the second phase includes injecting the material to form inner and outer layers and an intermediate layer between the inner and outer layers. The inner and outer layers include the material and the intermediate layer includes at least one additive. Finished containers are disclosed.
SEAM CONSTRUCTION USING RADIO FREQUENCY WELDING AND TAPE
A process of constructing an air tight and water tight seam, comprising cutting a sheet of selected material into two or more panels, sealing the panels at respective selected edges using an ultrasonic machine to form a seam, overlaying the seam with a tape made of the same selected material, and sealing the tape and seam using a radio frequency (RF) welding machine.
House wrap and method of manufacture
A continuous, serpentine and intersecting pattern of filaments is provided on a surface of a house wrap membrane. Water drainage channels may be provided by depressions or viaducts formed at locations along filaments. The filaments may be formed using hot melt nozzles disposed on a member and translated transversely as the membrane is translated longitudinally beneath the nozzles.
BARRIERS FOR PLASTIC PREFORMS AND CONTAINERS AND PREFORMS AND CONTAINERS MADE THEREWITH
A barrier for injection molding, the barrier including a manganese (Mn) catalyst and an oxygen barrier. In embodiments, the oxygen barrier comprises MXD6. Such barriers may be included with a polymer to form a composition used in an injection process. In other embodiments, a barrier includes a transition metal catalyst, an organic compound, and a radical initiator. In embodiments, the radical initiator comprises one or more azo-compounds or peroxides. Plastic preforms and containers that are injection molded with such barriers/compositions are also disclosed.
Crystal Clear High Barrier Packaging Film
A transparent multilayer coextruded heat shrinkable barrier film is useful for high-value packaging applications such as food and medical device packaging. The transparent multilayer coextruded heat shrinkable barrier film includes first and second outer layers formed using a transparent polyester or polyester copolymer; an inner nanolayer sequence including a plurality of nanolayers a) including ethylene vinyl alcohol, alternating with nanolayers b) including at least one of ethylene ethyl acrylate, low density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene, each of the nanolayers b) having a degree of crystallinity less than about 45%; and adhesive layers between each of the two outer layers and the inner nanolayer sequence. The film has a light transmittance of at least about 80% and a heat shrunk of at least about ten percent in at least one direction.
Method for manufacturing conglomerate slabs
In the method for manufacturing conglomerate stone slabs using the Bretonstone technology, in the variant where the starting mixture is enclosed between two paper sheets, the improvement consists in replacing each paper sheet with a containment element consisting of a paper sheet, one surface of which has, applied thereon, a film of plastic material which is impermeable to organic vapours, impermeable to the liquids and in particular to the liquid resin constituting the binder of said mixture, resistant to the catalysis temperatures of the said resin and resistant to hot solvents and chemical vapours. Preferably, said plastic material is water-soluble, in particular polyvinyl alcohol.
Manufacturing device of battery case having improved manufacturing processability and manufacturing method using the same
The present invention provides a manufacturing device of a battery case including a first mold including a first space part having a shape corresponding to a storage part formed therein; a second mold including a second space part having a shape corresponding to the storage part and a through-hole communicating with the second space part formed therein, and coupled to the first mold with a laminate sheet interposed therebetween; and an air pressure regulator mounted in the through-hole in a state in which the first space part and the second space part are isolated from the outside, and increasing or decreasing an air pressure of the second space part through the through-hole to stretch and modify the laminate sheet into a shape corresponding to the first space part or the second space part.
BIODEGRADABLE MATERIAL, PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF
Disclosed are a biodegradable material and a preparation method and an application thereof, belong to the technical field of biodegradable materials. The preparation method includes mixing a certain amount of polyhydroxybutyrate-co-hydroxyvalerate copolymer (PHBV), polylactic acid (PLA), polybutylene adipate-terephthalate (PBAT) and epoxy chain extender or a certain amount of PHBV, PLA, polybutylene succinate (PBS) and epoxy chain extender, twin-screw extruding, cooling and cutting to obtain the biodegradable, green and environmentally friendly drinking straws.
Fluorine-containing Mixture Material and Fluorine-containing Super-oleophobic Microporous Membrane Using Same as Raw Material, and Preparation Method therefor and Use thereof
This disclosure provides a fluorine-containing mixture and a fluorine-containing super-oleophobic microporous membrane using the fluorine-containing mixture as a raw material, as well as preparation methods and applications for the fluorine-containing mixture and the fluorine-containing super-oleophobic microporous membrane. The fluorine-containing mixture of the present disclosure comprises, by weight percentage, the following components: Component A: 50%˜90%; Component B: 3%˜25%; Component C: 0%˜35%; Component D: 0%˜3%; wherein Component A comprises high molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene homopolymer or copolymer dispersion resin; Component B comprises one or more fluorine-containing alkyl acrylate monomers; Component C comprises one or more fluorine-free acrylates; Component D comprises high temperature free radical initiator. There's no need to add inflammable or explosive lubricating oil, making the process highly safe; and the obtained fluorine-containing super-oleophobic microporous membrane has high waterproof, air-permeable, oil-resistant and washable performance, in line with the needs of a new generation of waterproof and air-permeable protective clothing.
