Molding Process for Rubber
20190104801 · 2019-04-11 ·

A one-piece rubber boot shell is created by a process comprising the steps of disposing rubber pieces within a cavity of a molding machine, the molding machine having an upper mold, a lower mold, and a last suspended between the upper mold and the lower mold. The process includes closing the molding machine by moving at least one of the upper mold, the lower mold, and the last toward each other so that they are adjacent each other, heating the rubber pieces to flow within the cavity and around the last to form a one-piece rubber boot shell, and opening the molding machine by moving at least one of the upper mold, the lower mold, and the last away from each other so that they are spaced apart from each. The one-piece rubber boot shell is then removed from the last.

BOOT WITH AN ELEMENT IN SHELL FORM
20180220735 · 2018-08-09 ·

The invention relates to a ski boot with an element in shell form, which at least partially consists of a plastics compound material, wherein the compound material comprises a mixture of caprolactam polyamide and ionomers, and to a method for the production thereof, such that cations and anions of the ionomers form ion bonds, wherein elastic components of the compound material form a physical network that is soluble between 60 C. and 100 C., and so the element in shell form of the ski boot that at least partially consists of the compound material can undergo thermoforming below 100 C.

Manufacturing process of shoe with internally waterproofed fabric upper

A manufacturing process is provided for a shoe with a fabric upper that is internally provided with a waterproof coating layer made of plastic material. The process includes the step of piercing of the upper in order to inject plastic material in an intermediate space between a core of a mold and the upper.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A HOLLOW ITEM BY INJECTION- MOULDING AND OBJECT OBTAINED BY USING SAID PROCESS
20170050356 · 2017-02-23 · ·

A process of producing a hollow item by injection-moulding thermoplastic material, which has a rigid external shell and at least one soft internal portion, which uses a mould comprising a matrix, a first semi-mould including a first cavity and a second semi-mould including a second cavity counter-shaped to the matrix to reproduce a respective semi-shell of said rigid external shell. The process includes the phases of positioning at least one insert made of a soft material, constituting the soft internal portion, on the matrix; covering the insert with a connecting layer; hermetically sealing the first and second semi-moulds onto the matrix along the edges of the cavities; injecting into the space between the cavities and the connecting layer a thermoplastic material that forms the rigid external shell to create a permanent connection of the soft insert to the shell. The connecting layer substantially retains the characteristics of the soft insert.

Method for making a garment material

A method of making a garment material and garment material and garments obtainable by the method. The method comprises providing a first layer, which is a shaped polymer and applying a liner to the first layer, the liner being formed of yarn and having interstices through it. A fluid polymeric material is then applied to the liner so that it permeates the interstices and is allowed to solidify to thereby form a second layer in which the liner is embedded in the solid polymeric material. Fibres are then applied to form a textile layer, which serves as a skin-contacting layer. The garment material comprises a first layer (70, 76, 78), which is a shaped polymer; a second layer (80), which is a shaped polymer that is provided at one or more locations on the first layer, the second layer taking the shape of the first layer at said one or more locations; and a textile layer (82). The second layer is located between the first layer and the textile layer and a liner (22) is embedded in the second layer, the liner being formed of yarn and having interstices through it.

INJECTED RUBBER MOLD AND METHOD FOR INJECTED MOLDING RUBBER FOOTWEAR WITH LINING
20260061674 · 2026-03-05 · ·

A mold and a method for molding rubber footwear with a lining are provided. The mold includes a combined outer mold and an inner mold. The combined outer mold has a first outer mold and a second outer mold, which are drivable to move towards each other for mold closing and move away from each other for mold opening. The inner mold is covered with a lining and is arranged in the footwear cavity. The inner mold has a guide groove in which a movable insert is slidably arranged. The movable insert has an exposed part that is arranged corresponding to the mold closing part of the combined outer mold, and can be driven to move in the guide groove in different directions, causing the exposed part to retract inwardly, or be flush with or protrude outwardly from the outer surface of the inner mold.
