Multi-lemon squeezer
A multi-lemon squeezer that is comprised of a frame that supports a gear train and a rack guide. A rack is held within the rack guide and the rack has a press on a bottom end of the rack. The bottom of the press defines a plurality of outward conical structures. The frame defines a base that supports a receptacle that has a removable cover. The removable cover defines a plurality perforated cups that receive the plurality of outward conical structures of the press. A lever attaches to the gear train to provide the force needed to move the rack downward to squeeze any lemons held within the plurality of perforated cups of the removable cover.
Method of and press for separating cocoa mass into cocoa butter and cocoa cake
The invention relates to a method of separating cocoa mass into cocoa butter and cocoa cake by means of a press (1) comprising one or more pressing elements (6) in turn comprising a pot (7) having a cavity (8) for receiving cocoa mass to be pressed, a squeezer (9) located at least partially in the cavity (8), and at least one filter (11) disposed in front of the squeezer (9) and/or on the side of the cavity (8) opposite the squeezer (9), which method comprises the steps of filling the cavity or cavities (8) with cocoa mass, exerting pressure on the pressing element(s) (6) thus pressing cocoa butter through the filter(s) (11), releasing pressure from the pressing element(s) (6), and opening the pot(s) (7) to remove the cocoa cake(s) from the cavity or cavities (8). Prior to releasing the pressure from the pressing element(s) (6), cocoa butter is purged from at least the space(s) (13) behind the filter(s) (11).
FILTER PRESS AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING THE SOLID COMPONENTS FROM THE LIQUID COMPONENTS OF A SLURRY
A filter press is disclosed for separating solid components from liquid components of a slurry. The filter press includes side beams and a plurality of filter plates oriented at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the side beams. The filter plates are adapted to move along the side beams. A stationary end is arranged on one end of the side beams and a movable head is adapted to transport the filter plates along the side beams. The filter press includes a press system adapted to exert a closing pressure on the filter plates to press the filter plates against each other. The press system further includes at least one electrically driven actuator adapted to generate an axially directed force on the filter plates by means of the movable head. The disclosure also relates to a method for separating the solid components from the liquid components of a slurry.
DYNAMIC SEPARATION AND FILTRATION
A modular, compact, mobile, dewatering and liquid-liquid separation and filtration system. The system processes incoming influents of slurries, solids and liquids at a high speed of operation and in large volumes. System is capable of being modularly scaled, allowing for a continuous steady state operation accommodating any slurry flow rate in a synchronous dynamic equilibrium process. Components and modules integrated into the system include a dynamic filtration clarifier 101 (DFC), a nested-filter dewatering cell 115 (NDC) and/or a compression filter press 125 (CFP). The DFC performs the primary dewatering phase of separating the primary water from the solids creating sludge. The NDC further breaks apart the solids of the sludge, removing interstitial water in a secondary dewatering phase, further lowering the moisture content of the sludge, while the CFP removes the tertiary water from the remaining solid particles by pressing the particles into a solid cake.

Press for processing fat containing mass
The invention relates to a press (1) for separating fat containing mass, e.g. cocoa mass, into liquid fat and cake, comprising a frame (2), a plurality of pressing elements (6) disposed in the frame (2), and a hydraulic cylinder and plunger (3, 3A) for exerting pressure on the pressing elements (6), the pressing elements (6) comprising a pot (7) having a cavity (8) for receiving mass to be pressed, a squeezer (9) located at least partially in the cavity (8), and filters (11) disposed in front of the squeezer (9) and on the side of the cavity (8) opposite the squeezer (9), wherein, in the filling position of the press (1), the distance between the filters (11) is in a range from 10 to 90 mm. The ratio (Dc/Dp) of the diameter (Dc) of the hydraulic cylinder (3) and the diameter (Dp) of the cavities (8) is smaller than 1.15.
Partial or whole food hopper, grinder and cold press counter-top juicing machine, system and method
Apparatus, system and method for cold pressing juice from a food including a food delivery chute, a food grinder, and a pressing chamber which may removably fit together as a single, stand-alone unit.
Fruit press
A fruit press has shafts which are mounted in a frame for two pressing rollers, which can be driven in opposite directions, and for two ram heads, which are provided below the pressing rollers and form pressing rams that interact with pressing recesses of the pressing rollers. The fruit press has a blade, which is displaceable in a blade guide between the pressing rollers. The pressing rollers and the ram heads, which can be removed from their respective shafts, are held between a rear wall and a front mount of a handling unit detachably fastened to the frame. To achieve advantageous design conditions, the pressing rollers and the ram heads, which are supported axially on the front mount, are detachably held between bearing projections of the rear wall and receptacles in the region of the front mount.
JUICE PRESS APPARATUS AND METHODS
A juice pressing machine and methods for pressing juice from a foodstuff includes embodiments having a removable pressing chamber and one or more filters which may be assembled and loaded with macerated foodstuff to form thin layers separated by a pressing plate. Once a juicing operation has been completed, the pressing chamber can be removed from the machine for emptying the pressed filters and solids contents therein. The empty pressing chamber may then be rinsed if needed and reattached to the machine for a subsequent pressing operation with newly filled filter(s). The platen may also be easily removed from the machine for cleaning as desired.
Mechanical demoisturizing of partially-decomposed organic material
A process for the preparation of a concentrated filter cake from an admixture of partially-decomposed organic material and a polar liquid using a filter press without the input of thermal heat or superheated steam or other pressurized gas or liquid is provided by this invention. The admixture is mixed with an additional amount of the polar liquid to produce a feed slurry of the admixture having a moisture content of about 90-99% wt. The resulting slurry admixture is then introduced into the filter press having a plurality of filter plates with porous membranes secured along their outlet. The pressure condition introduced inside the filter plate chambers is increased by a pressurized gas or liquid to force the polar liquid from the admixture slurry though apertures contained in the membrane, thereby leaving a filter cake of the partially-decomposed organic material having a moisture content that is lower than the moisture content of the initial partially-decomposed organic material feed. The process and its equipment may be used to treat a variety of partially-decomposed organic material/polar liquid slurry admixtures, including high moisture peat containing water, and reduce the moisture content of the resulting peat filter cake to as low as 60% wt.
