Separating machine
A separating machine separates a food source material into first and second food portions. The separating machine a separating arrangement with a roller assembly; a belt assembly including a belt; a drum assembly including a drum, and holes extending between the surfaces of the drum. The drum assembly is arranged proximate to the belt assembly to define a separation area. The belt assembly is arranged relative to the belt assembly such that the food source material delivered by the inlet assembly into the separation area is pressed by the belt against the outer surface of the drum and the first food portion is pressed through the holes into the drum interior, thereby separating the first and second food portions. The separating machine further includes a belt tensioning device configured to reposition at least a portion of the roller assembly to adjust a tension of the belt.
Apparatus and a method for dewatering wood chips
In an apparatus (1) for dewatering wood material (2), a first roll (3) and a second roll (4) form a nip (N1) in which water can be pressed out of the wood chips (2). An endless permeable conveyor (5) is arranged to pass through the nip (N1) and carry wood chips (2) through the nip (N1). A method of dewatering wood material uses the inventive apparatus.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING MATERIALS WITH DIFFERENT DEGREES OF FLOWABILITY
An apparatus for separating materials with different degrees of flowability has a rotationally driven hollow drum with a perforated peripheral surface, which is releasably arranged on a drive element. A continuous press belt can be pressed against the hollow drum from the outside while wrapping around a portion of the circumference of the hollow drum. The press belt and the hollow drum cooperate to form an intake wedge for the pressed material. The drive element has at least one controllably movable holding means which is configured and adapted to controllably lock the hollow drum on the drive element as well as to controllably release the hollow drum from the drive element. A corresponding method is also provided.
SEPARATING MACHINE WITH FEEDING WHEEL
A separating machine separates a food source material into first and second food portions. A separating arrangement includes a roller assembly and a belt assembly including a belt to be driven by the roller assembly. The separating arrangement includes a drum assembly arranged proximate to the belt assembly to define a separation area. The separating arrangement includes an inlet assembly configured to receive the food source material and a feeding wheel assembly positioned proximate to or within the inlet assembly and configured to direct the food source material into the separation area. The belt assembly is arranged relative to the belt assembly such that the food source material is pressed by the belt against the outer surface of the drum and the first food portion is pressed through the holes while the second food portion remains outside of the drum interior, thereby separating the first and second food portions.
MOISTURE EXTRACTION PRESS AND MOISTURE REMOVAL FROM WOOD MATERIALS
The technology disclosed relates to moisture removal from wood materials. In particular, it relates to a press that includes a continuous and liquid permeable sheet metal band that makes use of viaways, grooves, perforations, or combinations thereof allowing liquid to permeate therethrough. The press can also include a first pressing roller located above the sheet metal band and a first anvil roller located below the sheet metal band and forming a first nip with the first pressing roller and the sheet metal band, such that the sheet metal band being located between the first pressing roller and the first anvil roller.
Apparatuses and methods for applying pressure to edge surfaces
An apparatus for applying pressure to at least a portion of an edge surface, which bridges opposing faces of a workpiece, comprises a frame, a first roller, a second roller, a rotation-control member, a first biasing member, and a second biasing member. The first roller and the second roller are coupled to the frame, are rotatable relative to the frame, and are translationally fixed relative to the frame. The rotation-control member is movable relative to the frame, controlling rotation of the first roller and the second roller relative to the frame. The first biasing member is configured to operate in compression along a second axis. The second biasing member is positioned, in compression, between the frame and the rotation-control member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURE OF FIBER CEMENT PANELS HAVING OMNIDIRECTIONAL DRAINAGE PLANE
Methods and systems for form an omnidirectional drainage plane integral to a surface of a fiber cement panel. A felt belt used in a Hatscheck process for forming the fiber cement panel includes a belt adaptation that imprints a panel adaptation on the felt surface of the fiber cement panel. The belt adaptation may span the entire felt belt, or may be configured only on a portion, or portions, thereof.
The first roller and the second roller are coupled to the frame and are rotatable relative to the frame. At least one of the first roller or the second roller is translatable relative to the frame along a first axis. The rotation-control member is movable relative to the frame, controlling rotation of the first roller and the second roller relative to the frame. The first biasing member is configured to operate in compression along a second axis. The second biasing member is positioned, in compression, between the frame and the rotation-control member.
