A method of using the storage receptacle can include receiving a force on a hopper handle of a hopper of a storage receptacle, the hopper having a cable connection point connected to a cable, based on the force, rotating the hopper to enable a user to place material in a storage bin of the storage receptacle, wherein the rotating causes the cable to have slack and preventing the cable having the slack from coming out of a groove in a pulley via a shroud positioned over at least a portion of the pulley.

Trash compactor systems and methods

A trash compactor system includes a receptacle defining a retaining chamber that is configured to receive and retain trash, a compaction plate moveably secured within the retaining chamber, and a foot pedal operatively coupled to the compaction plate. Engagement of the foot pedal moves the compaction plate within the retaining chamber to compact the trash retained within the retaining chamber. A flap may cover an opening into the retaining chamber. The foot pedal may also be operatively coupled to the flap, such that the engagement of the foot pedal moves the flap into an open position that exposes the opening.

The transfer table is movable relative to the bottom platen to transfer the round bale to the bottom platen and to recompress the round bale. The system includes an upper platen rotatable relative to the bottom platen and the fixed platen. The upper platen is rotatable between a first position to receive the round bale between the bottom platen, the fixed platen and the upper platen, and a second position in which the upper platen cooperates with the transfer table to recompress the round bale into the square bale.

The bunker (200) comprises two substantially mirror-symmetric foldable first (201A) and second (201B) bunker section mounted to a frame (207) in a pivotal manner in a vertical direction about a horizontal axis extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis (L). An end plate (205A; 205B) is mounted pivotal at the rear of the bunker (200) serving as anchoring means and bulk collector means. The first and second bunker sections (201A; 201B) are mounted mutually displaced to the frame (207) to enable one bunker section (201B) to be inserted into the other bunker section (201A) to reduce width and volume before transport of the compactor (100) on public roads.

In the compaction material feeding device the compaction material compailinent is limited by a web-shaped carrier element having side wall segments and having a floor segment, as well as at least two fixed second side walls situated opposite one another. The carrier element can be lifted by a lifter device. In a maximally lifted end position of the carrier element, this element is drawn tight, and a compaction material transfer region of the compaction material feeding device is covered and closed by one of the side wall segments of the carrier element. In addition, a baling press is provided having a compaction material feeding device as described.

Improved balers may include a traveling chute that may reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve efficiency by reducing downtime. The traveling chute may include moving guides that include channels that engage tongues of stationary guide rails disposed on a baler. For example, the channels may be substantially rectangular channels that run the length of the moving guide. Similarly, the stationary guides may include substantially rectangular tongues and the moving guides may slide across the tongues and upper surfaces of the stationary guides as the traveling chute moves between various positions. The moving guides may include polyoxymethylene inserts in which the channels may be provided. The moving guides and stationary guides may be provided as a kit for attachment to various baling apparatuses. Additional features and components also are described.

The fixing device and optionally the envelope device are arranged on a transport apparatus (19) that travels along the compressed bale in an advancing direction (22). The supply device is arranged on the transport apparatus and supplies the upper part and the lower part with a supply movement oriented transversely to the advancing direction, from the outside into the baling press.

Baling press and method of pressing and tying bales in a baling press

A baling press with a bale pressing channel, a ram for pressing material in the bale pressing channel, the ram having a pressing face and a slot in the pressing face, a tying assembly on a first side of the bale pressing channel with a loop supply member for forming a loop across the bale pressing channel and movable between an extended position projecting through the slot and a retracted position. The press further has a slot clearing member movable between an extended position projecting through the slot and a retracted position on one side of said bale pressing channel. The slot clearing member and the tying assembly are on opposite sides of a feeding passage. The bale pressing channel is open for discharging cleared material on a side opposite of the location of the slot clearing member in its retracted position. A method of operation is also described.
