A method and system for compacting waste materials in a collection container. The container can be a freestanding waste container, a self-contained compaction container, or a container on a waste collection vehicle. A hydraulically operated compactor blade is positioned in the upper portion of the container with its bottom edge a distance above the floor. A door member can be provided in the rear wall of the collection container. The compactor blade can be in its rest position relative to the top opening. The container member can be positioned or located on a trailer or truck-type vehicle and adapted to be tilted for evacuation of materials collected therein.

Hands free storage receptacle

A storage receptacle can include a storage bin and a pedal mounted to the receptacle. The pedal can rotate downward when pressure is applied in order to pull on a first cable coupled to the pedal. The first cable is connected to a spring, and the spring is connected to a second cable. The second cable connects the spring to a door via an upper pulley of the receptacle. The second cable causes the door to open when the second cable is pulled based on force applied to the pedal. A bottom pulley can be coupled to the pedal via the first cable and configured to translate an upward pull of the first cable to a downward pull of the spring and second cable. The spring controls the motion of the door such that the door does not open too quickly upon a force being applied to the pedal.

NON-STOP ROUND BALER
20190380276 · 2019-12-19 ·

A non-stop round baler is towed by a towing vehicle and is divided into a collection chamber and a baling chamber. The collection chamber is disposed between a pick-up unit and the baling chamber. The collection chamber momentarily stores the crop material before being transferred to the baling chamber. A feed control gate is functionally disposed between the collection chamber and the baling chamber. The feed control gate is selectively switchable between a flow restricting configuration during a bale binding cycle and a bale ejection cycle, and a flow facilitating configuration during a bale forming cycle. When in the flow restricting configuration, the feed control gate blocks crop movement into the baling chamber. When in the flow facilitating configuration, the feed control gate facilitates crop movement into the baling chamber.

Lifting/ tipping device for emptying a collection container in a baling press, as well as baling press and method for filling the baling press
10493714 · 2019-12-03 ·

A lifting/tipping device for emptying a collection container into a filling shaft of a baling press has a horizontal construction, for compaction of loose material, particularly of cardboard or similar waste/packaging material, into bales. The collection container can be pivoted from a starting position into an emptying position via a special lifting/tipping device, so that then, the waste material falls out of the collection container and through the filling shaft into an ante-chamber of a pressing chamber, in front of a pressing organ of the baling press, under the force of gravity. Thereby this ante-chamber is filled for the pressing process. The collection container is positioned on the baling press in such a manner that the functional surface required in the baling press is utilized in multivalent manner, thereby reducing the total functional surface.
