20190337253 · 2019-11-07 ·

A bale press includes a substantially horizontal main press chamber, the main press chamber incorporating a main press in the form a moveable wall moveably mounted within the main press chamber between retracted and advanced positions in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the main press chamber. A side chamber is positioned along one side of the main press chamber and has a side press mounted for movement within the side chamber between retracted and advanced positions in a direction generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the main press chamber so that material within the side chamber may be compressed into the main press chamber by movement of the side press between the retracted and advanced positions. A feed hopper for material to be baled is positioned above the side chamber for delivering material into the side chamber when the side press is retracted.

Bale press
11987019 · 2024-05-21 · ·

A bale compression device for receiving and compressing a bale of material. The device includes a press configured to compress the bale of material to a required compressed dimension, a binding applicator configured to apply a plurality of bindings around the bale of material prior to the bale being compressed, and a connector for connecting ends of each of the bindings to form a plurality of complete loops around the perimeter of the bale so that the plurality of loops act to hold the bale in a compressed state. The binding applicator acts to withdraw excess binding as the press compresses the bale, prior to the connector connecting the ends of each of the bindings, such that the complete loops are formed when the bale reaches its required compressed dimension.

Shredding and baling apparatus and method

The present disclosure is for a briquetting machine and method thereof to process loose metal scraps. The method comprises the steps of advancing a pre-extruding punch in a first pathway to push loose metal scraps towards a first entrance leading into a re-extruding cavity; advancing a re-extruding punch in a second pathway perpendicular to the first pathway to further push the loose metal scraps towards a second entrance leading to a final pressing cavity; advancing a final-extruding punch along a third pathway perpendicular to both the pre and re-extruding punches to compress loose metal scraps to form a metal cake in the final extruding cavity. Pressure and overflow release areas are configured adjacent to each entrance. Advancing and retracting sequences of the pre-, re-, and final-extruding punches are monitored and controlled via sensors and switches.

Air-assisted rubber balers and baling methods

Improved bales may be formed using methods that include using baling equipment with an air blasting crumb chute that may reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve efficiency by reducing material waste, imperfections, and/or contamination. The crumb chute may include an air inlet and a plurality of apertures in fluid communication with the air inlet. Air may be provided through the apertures to prevent crumbles from accumulating on the baling assembly as they fall through the chute to the press chamber and/or to blast already accumulated residual crumbles from components of the baling assembly, such as a traveling chute, and into the press chamber. The crumb chute may include a polyoxymethylene insert in which the air inlet and apertures are provided. The crumb chute may be provided as a kit for attachment to various baling apparatuses.
