Baling press and method of pressing and tying bales in a baling press
A baling press with a bale pressing channel, a ram for pressing material in the bale pressing channel, the ram having a pressing face and a slot in the pressing face, a tying assembly on a first side of the bale pressing channel with a loop supply member for forming a loop across the bale pressing channel and movable between an extended position projecting through the slot and a retracted position. The press further has a slot clearing member movable between an extended position projecting through the slot and a retracted position on one side of said bale pressing channel. The slot clearing member and the tying assembly are on opposite sides of a feeding passage. The bale pressing channel is open for discharging cleared material on a side opposite of the location of the slot clearing member in its retracted position. A method of operation is also described.
Baling Apparatus and Method
Baling apparatus and method including a baling chamber having one or more splitting knives for dividing crop material picked up from a field to discharge divided bales simultaneously from the baling chamber to be received by an ejection chute structure which ejects the divided bales in spaced relation to each other as the baling apparatus is moved along the field. The spaced relation can be longitudinal by ejecting the divided bales at staggered time and/or can be laterally spaced by turning the bales in the ejection chute structure.
BALING MACHINE WITH CONTAINMENT APPARATUS
A baling machine including a gathering ram and a hopper with a charging chamber is disclosed. The hopper can include a pair of flat doors and an actuator that can move the flat doors to apply compression force to material placed in the hopper. The compression force applied by the flat doors can improve efficiency of the baling machine by increasing the amount of the material compacted by each stroke of the gathering ram.
Device and method for pressing organic material out of waste
Device (100) for pressing organic material out of waste, comprising: a pressing chamber (3) and a first pressing member (4) for compacting introduced waste; a first feed opening (5) for feeding waste into the pressing chamber (4); perforations (6) for allowing air, moisture and organic material pressed out of introduced waste to escape from the pressing chamber (3), which perforations (6) are arranged in a wall (9) of the pressing chamber (3) and debouch in a surface (7) bounding the pressing chamber (3); and a discharge opening (8) for discharging from the pressing chamber (3) compacted waste from which air, moisture and organic material are at least partially removed and whereby the surface lies perpendicularly of the pressing direction of the first pressing member (4). Pressing perpendicularly of the surface (7) results in a more effective and efficient pressing. The device (100) preferably also comprises: a second feed opening (2) for feeding waste into the device (100); and an infeed chamber (13), which infeed chamber (13) is located between the first feed opening (5) and the second feed opening (2). A pre-compaction takes place during the displacement of waste fed into the infeed chamber (13) to the pressing chamber (3) via the first feed opening (5), this still further increasing the effectiveness, efficiency and yield of the pressing. Also method for pressing organic material out of waste by means of such a device.
Automatic Door Sequencing for Discharging Refuse from Multi-Compartment Packer
A refuse truck body having a main compartment and at least one side compartment includes shields to close a rear opening of the compartments. A respective pushing device is provided for discharging refuse from each compartment. In a closed position, the shield is latched to the truck body by a locking device that selectively locks and unlocks each shield against its opening. A sequencing system is operatively connected between a lock for the packing unit and the actuator for closing and latching the shields, which prevents unlocking and raising the packing unit before the shields are closed and latched to the truck body. A sequencing system is operatively connected between the pushing device for a compartment and the actuator for closing and latching the shields, which prevents operation of the pushing device to discharge refuse from the compartment unless the shield for that compartment is unlatched.
Method and device for compacting materials
A method and system for compacting waste materials in a collection container. The container can be a freestanding waste container, a self-contained compaction container, or a container on a waste collection vehicle. A hydraulically operated compactor blade is positioned in the upper portion of the container with its bottom edge a distance above the floor. A door member can be provided in the rear wall of the collection container. The compactor blade can be in its rest position relative to the top opening. The container member can be positioned or located on a trailer or truck-type vehicle and adapted to be tilted for evacuation of materials collected therein.
The spaced relation can be longitudinal by ejecting the divided bales at staggered times and/or can be laterally spaced by turning the bales in the ejection chute structure.
Recycling of infusion capsules
A device for separating infusion capsules includes a base unit and a plunger, the base unit having a face with an aperture for receiving a body part of the capsule, wherein a portion of the face surrounding the aperture has a surface that undulates in a longitudinal direction relative to a central axis through the aperture; the plunger including a projection sized to fit within the aperture. A capsule can be placed, rim side down, on the base unit over the aperture, and the plunger used to urge the capsule down into the aperture. The result is that the capsule inverts, rupturing the foil layer and emptying the coffee or other infusion into the base unit below the aperture. The coffee (etc) and the capsule can then be removed for separate recycling. The undulating surface ensures that the rim section of the capsule is distorted during this process, which assists in separating any layers that have been provided for example by way of sealant.
BALE EJECT DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR BALING PRESSES
Herein described is a bale eject door assembly designed to promote the safe opening of a bale eject door under pressure. The bale eject door assembly can include an end door engaged to and closing the bale exit end of a baling chamber on a baling press, a hinge, a door cylinder piston assembly and a locking mechanism.
Engineered woody biomass baling system
A woody biomass baler having a baling chamber adapted to receive woody biomass material and a compression system adapted to compact the material into a parallelepiped bale in the baling chamber, wherein the baling chamber has a front wall that acts as a reciprocating compression platen corresponding in dimensions to the width W and height H of the bale, opposing upper and lower walls corresponding in dimensions to the length L and either of the W and H of the bale, and opposing sidewalls corresponding in dimensions to the L and the other of the W and H of the bale, and wherein each chamber wall selected from among the upper wall, the lower wall, and each of the sidewalls can withstand a distributed force perpendicular to the selected chamber wall of between (0.11Pp psiAw) pounds and (0.3Pp psiAw) pounds, wherein 0.11 and 0.3 are Poisson's ratio values, Pp is the maximum pressure that the compression system can apply to woody biomass material in the chamber, and Aw is the area of the selected chamber wall expressed in square inches.
