Air-assisted rubber balers and baling methods
Improved bales may be formed using methods that include using baling equipment with an air blasting crumb chute that may reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve efficiency by reducing material waste, imperfections, and/or contamination. The crumb chute may include an air inlet and a plurality of apertures in fluid communication with the air inlet. Air may be provided through the apertures to prevent crumbles from accumulating on the baling assembly as they fall through the chute to the press chamber and/or to blast already accumulated residual crumbles from components of the baling assembly, such as a traveling chute, and into the press chamber. The crumb chute may include a polyoxymethylene insert in which the air inlet and apertures are provided. The crumb chute may be provided as a kit for attachment to various baling apparatuses. Additional features and components also are described.
STRAP-WINDING AND STRAP-COIL-DEFORMING SYSTEM
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a strap-winding and strap-coil-deforming system (10) configured to wind a strap segment (S) into a coil and then deform the strap coil to render it more compact and to reduce the likelihood that it will uncoil during handling, storage, or transport. The deformed strap coil is introduced into a discharge chute (DC) to discharge it away from the strap-winding and strap-coil-deforming system (10) for further handling, storage, or transport.
AIRCRAFT LAVATORY TRASH COMPACTOR
An aircraft lavatory trash compactor includes a water source, a valve actuator connected to the water source, a trash can disposed below the valve actuator, and a controller configured to activate the valve actuator to spray water into the trash can. A processor can receive a signal indicating a level of trash in a trash can. The processor can determine the level of trash in the trash can in response to receiving the signal. The processor can determine that the level of trash is above a threshold. The processor can activate a water valve in response to the determination that the level of trash is above the threshold.
Rebaling Systems and Methods
A rebaling system may include a bale processing system that processes a first bale of a first size into unbaled material; a rebaler downstream of the bale processing system, the rebaler rebaling the unbaled material into a second bale of a second size different than the first size prior to being processed; a collection platform positioned below a portion of the rebaling system that collects stray unbaled material; and a recycling system including a first auger operatively engaged with the collection platform to move collected stray unbaled material to be reintroduced to the rebaling system.
PAPER SHREDDER
An apparatus for paper shredding and compacting which includes a shredded paper storage portion, a movable ram disposed within the shredded paper storage portion, and a movable push rod.
SHREDDING AND BALING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A shredding and haling apparatus provided includes a shredding assembly operatively connected to a baling assembly via a conveyor. A rotatable drum with cutting teeth spirally arranged along the drum is preferably centered within a lower portion of an intake hopper for cutting through material as it is fed into the hopper. Fixed cutting teeth are preferably arranged in a row or rows along each of the longitudinal sidewalls of the hopper, adjacent the cutting drum. A touch screen display and computer may be used in combination with sensors to monitor and control the shredding and baling operation, and a hydraulic system is used to drive the components. The shredding and baling assembly is preferably designed in an industrial size to handle high volumes of material and may be driven or transported from one location to another.
