A refuse hopper is disclosed which may be mounted in the bed of a pick-up truck, a flat-bed truck or on a trailer. The refuse hopper includes a horizontally disposed support frame having a rear end, a front end, a first side and a second side. A hopper is pivotally mounted on the support frame and has a front end, a rear end, a front side and a second side. The refuse hopper is selectively movable between a horizontally disposed loading position and a dumping position. A compactor plate is pivotally mounted to the hopper and is movable between an upwardly extending loading position to a refuse packing position within the hopper. The hopper has a volume of about four cubic yards.

AIRPLANE-DERIVED REFUSE UNLOADING AND COMPACTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
20210061560 · 2021-03-04 · ·

An unloading system comprises an upper-opening chamber for receiving airplane-derived refuse; a chute; a chute-connected safety gate which is settable in falling preventing relation with respect to an access door of an airplane from which the refuse is unloadable into the chute and to the chamber; and an air brake assembly for immobilizing the safety gate when the chute ceases to be vertically displaced. A compacting system comprises a main platen mount with an occluding surface for occluding the opening; an auxiliary platen mount for movably supporting the main platen mount; a holder assembly underneath the auxiliary platen mount; and force transmitting elements always retained within a compaction chamber interior. The main platen mount is linearly driven between a first position completely forwardly of the opening and a second position at which the opening is completely occluded, and is additionally driven to discharge the received refuse. Methods are also disclosed.

Autonomously Propelled Waste Receptacle and Associated Methods

Embodiments of the present invention are related to an autonomously propelled waste receptacle including a top, a collapsible lid, a housing, an exterior, an interior, and a bottom. The housing includes a circuit board panel, a door, and doorway. The exterior includes a user interface, a plurality of sensors, at least one antenna, and a camera. The interior includes a bin, a trash compactor with a plurality of threaded rods connected to the collapsible lid, an upper can platform, and a bottom tech platform. The bottom includes a plurality of wheels used to drive the autonomously propelled waste receptacle.

The collapsible lid also acts as a descending masher compacting trash within the interior bin and the bin is structured to rotate through the doorway to empty. The autonomously propelled waste receptacle may navigate using at least one of sensors, camera, WiFi communication, cellular communication, and GPS communication.

System for compacting waste in a vehicle

A system for compacting waste includes a trolley and a cabin monument. The trolley or the cabin monument has a compacting device. The compacting device includes a cover with a bellows that is arranged on the lower face of the cover and is designed to be movable between a folded-together position, in which the bellows interior has a first volume, and an unfolded position, in which the bellows interior has an enlarged second volume. By suctioning fluid from a container interior formed in the trolley by means of a first cover channel arranged in the cover of the trolley, the bellows can be moved into the unfolded position such that the bellows protrudes far enough into the container interior that the waste container and/or waste in the waste container is compacted.

Trash compactor systems and methods

A trash compactor system includes a receptacle defining a retaining chamber that is configured to receive and retain trash, a compaction plate moveably secured within the retaining chamber, and a foot pedal operatively coupled to the compaction plate. Engagement of the foot pedal moves the compaction plate within the retaining chamber to compact the trash retained within the retaining chamber. A flap may cover an opening into the retaining chamber. The foot pedal may also be operatively coupled to the flap, such that the engagement of the foot pedal moves the flap into an open position that exposes the opening.

System for extracting a fluid by suction, and a vehicle with a system of this type

A system includes a vehicle monument, a hose with a fluid line, and an adapter with a triggering unit and a housing, which has a fluid connection. The fluid connection couples to a fluid mating connection, wherein the monument has a fluid main valve and a control unit for controlling the fluid main valve, an inlet of the fluid main valve couples to a fluid suction source, and a first end of the hose connects to the monument such that a first end of the fluid line is coupled to a first outlet of the fluid main valve. A second end of the hose is connected to the adapter such that a second end of the fluid line is coupled to the fluid connection, and the control unit controls the fluid main valve based on a triggering signal from the triggering unit.
