Device for manually compacting waste

A device for manually compacting waste, including a support plate and left-hand and right-hand lateral uprights secured to the support plate and delimiting a central space to accept a waste container. The device also includes a left-hand lever fixed pivotingly to the left-hand lateral upright about a pivot axis, and a right-hand lever fixed pivotingly to the right-hand lateral upright about a pivot axis, with the pivot axes arranged parallel to one another. The device further includes a thrust bar having a lower end fixed to a compression plate and connected to the left-hand and/or right-hand lever by a connector capable of sliding along the left-hand and/or right-hand lever to act on the thrust bar under lever action so as to move toward/away from the ground to allow the compression plate to be brought closer to and respectively further away from the support plate from a position of equilibrium.

Device and method for forming smokable materials
10631567 · 2020-04-28 ·

A device and method of forming smokable materials are disclosed. The device may include a puck, which may be configured to at least partially pass through a channel defined by a die from one end of the die. The die and the puck are configured such that smokable material may be placed within the die from that end and compressed by the puck against a substantially rigid surface proximal to the other end of the die. The puck may be pushed through the channel in the die using a feature that provides mechanical advantage. The puck and die may also be attached to or may be part of a press, such as a t-handle press. A spacer may also be included to maintain a minimum height of the compressed smokable material. The device is configured such that the compressed smokable material may be inserted into the oven of a vaporizer.

TRASH COMPACTOR ASSEMBLY

A trash compactor assembly includes a receptacle including a base connected to at least one wall having an upper edge. A retaining chamber is defined between the wall(s) and the upper edge. A compaction plate is disposed within the retaining chamber. The compaction plate is configured to be manually moved in an upward direction from the base towards the upper edge to compact trash within the retaining chamber.

BAR SOAP FORMING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF FORMING SHAPED SOAP BARS FROM SOAP SLABS
20190359916 · 2019-11-28 ·

A soap bar forming apparatus and method for forming a soap bar by compression welding a plurality of soap slabs is configured to mechanically weld a plurality of soap slabs into a single soap bar of a usable size. The soap slabs are placed on the open top chamber of the lower casing in a flat stacked position. The upper casing is then placed over the lower casing and then both the casings are tied in place by the Velcro straps. The upper casing detachably couples to the lower casing and a pair of detachable straps fasten the casings together. A drive member presses the soap slabs together, and comprises a rotatable compression screw terminating at a compression plate, and an E-Ring that fastens the compression screw and compression plate together, and allows the compression screw to rotate while the compression plate moves up and down without twisting. The rotatable compression screw rotatably passes through the threaded drive hole in the upper casing, forcibly urging the compression plate onto the soap slabs to compress the soap slabs into a single large soap bar.

Manually operated trash compactor for airplane lavatory and method for compacting trash
10351337 · 2019-07-16 · ·

An example lavatory waste compartment includes a waste bin having a waste compartment for trash, a waste flap providing an opening into the waste compartment for insertion of the trash, and a manually operated trash compactor coupled to a ceiling. The manually operated trash compactor includes an expansion component connected to a compacting head, and a retraction component coupled to the expansion component to hold or retract the expansion component to a stowed position. An increase in temperature above a threshold temperature causes the retraction component to release the expansion component resulting in deployment of the compacting head into the waste bin. An actuation device is provided to deploy the expansion component from the stowed position, and when deployed, the expansion component blocks opening of the waste flap, and the retraction component causes the expansion component to retract to the stowed position via release of the actuation device.

TRASH COMPACTOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A trash compactor system includes a receptacle defining a retaining chamber that is configured to receive and retain trash, a compaction plate moveably secured within the retaining chamber, and a foot pedal operatively coupled to the compaction plate. Engagement of the foot pedal moves the compaction plate within the retaining chamber to compact the trash retained within the retaining chamber. A flap may cover an opening into the retaining chamber. The foot pedal may also be operatively coupled to the flap, such that the engagement of the foot pedal moves the flap into an open position that exposes the opening.
