Roller compactor with steam
A steam or reactant system is provided for a roller compactor to provide improved compaction or functional characteristic of powdered materials, such as active pharmaceutical ingredients. The steam or reactants can be added through conduits terminating in nozzles adjacent the nip zone of the compaction rollers. The injection nozzles can be directed tangentially from the above the rollers or laterally from the sides of the rollers. In one embodiment, the moisture is in the form of steam. The resulting compacting sheet has improved compaction characteristics and reduced compression variability.
PREPARATION METHOD FOR BINDER-FREE, COAL-BASED, BRIQUETTED ACTIVATED CARBON
Disclosed herein is a method for preparing coal-based, briquetted activated carbon. The method includes subjecting raw coal to a briquetting process, pulverizing the briquettes into particles, and performing carbonization and activation to obtain activated carbon. The briquetting process includes pulverizing raw coal to produce a feed, feeding the feed into a feed bin for degassing, adjusting the temperature and the water content of the feed in the feed bin, and feeding the feed in the feed bin into a briquetting apparatus for briquetting to form coal briquettes. The raw coal briquetting process of the preparation method is suited to a wide variety of coal, including non-caking coal. The preparation method yields a coal briquette product with a strength greater than 89% without any binder, which is beneficial to improve the strength and the like of activated carbon.
ROLL PRESS MACHINE
A roll press machine according to the present disclosure includes a hot press mechanism having a pair of rollers arranged with a gap therebetween and heating mechanisms that heat the pair of rollers to heat and roll a forming material, a material feeding mechanism that feeds the forming material and a conveying mechanism that conveys the forming material fed by the material feeding mechanism to the hot press mechanism, in which each of the pair of rollers in the hot press mechanism has a roller structure including an outermost layer and an intermediate layer inside the outermost layer, and a thermal expansion coefficient of the outermost layer is lower than a thermal expansion coefficient of the intermediate layer.

GREEN COMPACT CONVEYING MECHANISM AND GREEN COMPACT FORMING DEVICE
A green compact conveying mechanism includes: a conveyance path for a green compact obtained by compressively forming powder in a sheet shape; an extrusion part that sends the green compact to the downstream side of the conveyance path by extruding the green compact; and a buckling inducing part that is arranged in the conveyance path, causes the green compact to be easily bent locally, and induces buckling at that site.
Process for Manufacturing a Conveyor Belt
Methods of manufacturing a conveyor belt (126) include applying a rubber composition (114) to a first side of fabric reinforcement (112) and scattering productive thermoplastic elastomer pellets (106) onto a second side of the fabric reinforcement to produce an uncured belt structure (120). The uncured belt structure (120) is continuous fed into a double belt press (116) to press the productive thermoplastic elastomer pellets (106) together with the fabric reinforcement (112) to produce an uncured belt (128). Uncured belt (128) is then heated in the double belt press (116) to a temperature of at least 300 F. and maintained in the double belt press (116) under a pressure of at least 12 psi and a temperature of at least 300 C. for a residence time of at least 20 minutes to produce a cured conveyor belt (130), which is continuously withdrawn from the double belt press (116).
Extruded immediate release abuse deterrent pill
The present disclosure relates to an oral, immediate release, abuse deterrent pill containing at least one active pharmaceutical ingredient susceptible to abuse which is homogenously spread throughout a carrier matrix used to deter abuse. The pill is prepared using hot melt extrusion and a forming unit through a continuous process. The formed pill is abuse deterrent to parenteral administration due at least to particle size, viscosity, or purity limitations.
Powder supplying device and electrode manufacturing apparatus
A powder supplying device (2) includes a case (6) in which a storage portion (6a) is formed for temporarily storing powder (10), the case (6) having an inlet (6b) formed in an upper end of the storage portion (6a), and a rectangular outlet (6c) formed in a lower end of the storage portion (6a); a rotor (7) that is arranged in the case (6) and transports the powder (10) in the storage portion (6a) to the outlet (6c) by rotating; and a mesh body (8) through which the powder (10) that has been transported to the outlet (6c) passes. The powder supplying device (2) supplies the powder (10) onto an upper surface of an electrode foil (5). The rotor (7) has a brush-like shape, with a plurality of hair members (7b) radially implanted pointing radially outward with an axial center (G) of the rotor (7) as the center.
