Mandrel wheel for producing packages
A mandrel wheel for producing packages is illustrated and described, including: a mandrel wheel shaft having a central axis, a plurality of mandrels attached to the mandrel wheel shaft, an inflow for a coolant and an outflow for the coolant. The mandrels form at least one mandrel group, the mandrels of which are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the mandrel wheel shaft. Each mandrel has a hollow space for the coolant, which is connected to an inlet and to an outlet separate from it. At least one distribution element is provided, which connects all inlets of a mandrel group to the inflow and which connects all outlets of the same mandrel group to the outflow, so that the mandrels can be cooled more effectively.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMING AND LABELING CONTAINERS
A system for labeling a container includes a label forming section, a buffer section, and a bonding section. The label forming section includes a first rotatable turret having a plurality of forming mandrels. The buffer section includes a second rotatable turret having a plurality of buffer receptacles. The bonding section includes a third rotatable turret having a plurality of bonding stations. The label forming section forms a label in a frustoconical shape using one of the forming mandrels and transfers the label to one of the buffer receptacles of the buffer section. The buffer section receives, in a buffer receptacle, the label followed by a container blank, and transfers the label and the container blank together to one of the bonding stations of the bonding section. The bonding section bonds the label to the container blank in the bonding station.
UNIT AND METHOD FOR PLACING OBJECTS IN BOXES
A unit for boxing packaged food products including: a first rotary element with at least one first receiving seat; a first transfer station for transferring a blank from a magazine for feeding blanks to the first receiving seat; a folding station for opening up the blank; a second rotary element with at least one second receiving seat; a second transfer station for transferring the blank folded open from the first receiving seat to the second receiving seat; an insertion station for inserting the packaged food products inside the blank folded open positioned on the second receiving seat; and a closing station for closing the blank folded open, positioned on the second receiving seat and containing the packaged food products.
UNIT AND METHOD FOR PLACING OBJECTS IN BOXES
A unit for boxing packaged food products including a rotary element with at least one first seat for receiving a blank; a first transfer station for transferring the blank from a magazine for feeding blanks to a folding mould; a folding station for opening up, at least partly, the blank; a second transfer station for transferring the blank folded open from mould to the first receiving seat; an insertion station for inserting the packaged food products inside the blank folded open positioned on the first receiving seat; a closing station for closing the blank folded open, positioned on the second receiving seat and containing the packaged food products.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECONFIGURING CONTAINERS
Methods and apparatus for forming containers from container blanks are provided. An apparatus comprises a blank holding apparatus operable to releasably hold a plurality of carton blanks in a first configuration. The apparatus also has a rotary apparatus operable to rotate an engagement device along a rotational path from a first retrieval location where the engagement device is operable to engage with and retrieve a blank from the plurality of blanks held in the blank holding apparatus, to a second operational location. The apparatus also has a movement apparatus inter-connected to the rotary apparatus. The movement apparatus is operable to move the rotary apparatus and the engagement device with the engaged blank away from the blank holding apparatus, which may be translational movement away from the blank holding apparatus.
METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A DOUBLE-WALLED CONTAINER
A method of making a double-wall cup having an inner cup defining an inner wall and an outer wrapper defining an outer wall, the method comprising applying an adhesive on the inner wall, holding a portion of the wrapper, at a location between opposing ends of the wrapper, in contact with the adhesive while in spaced relationship with the inner wall to define a spaced condition, and wrapping the wrapper about the inner wall.
Method and machine for assembling rigid tubular bodies made from a cardboard material with a sealing structure
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing packages comprising a tubular body made from a cardboard material and a sealing structure made from a cardboard material, and machines implementing said method, comprising supplying a sealing unit (2) with preformed tubular bodies, two by two, and with sealing structures in the form of flat portions, two by two, each one comprising a central part with a shape conjugated to the shape of the opening of the tubular bodies, surrounded by a peripheral portion that can be folded down that is sufficient to assemble a sealing structure sealably with the inner side wall of the tubular body, inserting pairs of sealing structures into a forming tool (7), and forming them in a bowl, inserting, placing and sealing bowls in the tubular bodies using said forming tool; transferring, two by two, the tubular bodies assembled to the sealing structures to a finishing unit (10), if the sealing structure is a lid, precutting (14) the side wall of said tubular body and partially precutting said lid along a peripheral line, at least one finishing operation for the end of the package bearing said sealing structure.
MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING DISPOSABLE CUPS
A machine for manufacturing disposable cups, including a side element, obtained from a blank of sheet material folded into a conical shape and sealed by a bottom element of circular shape, including a forming wheel rotatable with continuous motion. The forming wheel has a plurality of peripherally distributed forming assemblies including respectively a mandrel of tubular form carried by a support member swinging around an axis parallel to said axis of rotation of the forming wheel. First feeding means is adapted to orderly collect and insert single bottom elements into corresponding forming assemblies of the forming wheel. Second feeding means is adapted to collect single blanks in an orderly manner from a store in which the blanks are stacked and to transfer them in sequence, in an extended configuration, to the corresponding forming assemblies of said forming wheel.
