METHODS AND MACHINE FOR FORMING CONTAINERS HAVING TOP FLANGE WITH GLUED CORNERS
A container forming apparatus for forming a container from a blank includes a blank transfer station including an adhesive assembly having a plurality of adhesive applicators, and a compression station downstream of the blank transfer station, the compression station including a vertically movable mandrel and a forming tool below the mandrel. The forming tool defines a cavity therein and has an inner profile complementary in shape to an outer profile of the mandrel. Hot-melt adhesive is applied to an interior surface of the blank as the blank is transferred through the adhesive assembly. The blank is positioned beneath the mandrel, and the mandrel drives the blank downward into the cavity of forming tool. Side and end compression plates consecutively fold side and end flange panels, and the formed container includes a fully formed top flange.
INSTANT SET-UP BULK CONTAINER
A foldable container moveable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration defining an interior area for holding bulk material is provided. The container includes opposed side panels and a bottom flap extending from a bottom edge of each side panel. A tab member extends from a distal end of each bottom flap and a tab finger extends from each tab member so as to define a hook at a distal end of each bottom flap. The hooks are interconnected so as to hingedly connect the distal ends of the bottom flaps together, thereby causing the bottom flaps to rotate between their respective stowed and deployed configuration positions as the end panels are translated between their respective stowed and deployed configuration positions. Locking tabs extending from distal ends of end flaps extend into the interior area of the container to secure the container in the deployed configuration.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR FORMING REINFORCED POLYGONAL CONTAINERS FROM BLANKS
A method of forming a container from a blank of sheet material using a machine is provided. The blank includes a bottom panel, two side panels, two end panels, and a reinforcing panel assembly extending from a first side panel. The machine includes a hopper station, a corner post forming station, and a plunger station. The method includes rotating the reinforcing panel assembly upwardly toward the first side panel as the blank is transported from the hopper station to the corner post forming station, forming a corner wall and a reinforcing end tab by folding reinforcing panels about fold lines as the blank is transported through the corner post forming station, rotating the side panels and the end panels to be substantially perpendicular to the bottom panel by directing the blank through the plunger station, and coupling the reinforcing end tab to an end panel to form the container.
Box-forming apparatus
A box forming apparatus comprising a machine frame, and an outer mould and an inner mould arranged on the machine frame for forming a blank into a box. The outer mould and the inner mould are configured to be movable relative to one another along a pressing direction between an open configuration and a pressing configuration, for receiving the blank between the outer and inner moulds in the open configuration, for subsequently pressing the blank in the pressing configuration to form the box, and for discharging the box in the open configuration after pressing and forming the box. The outer and inner moulds comprise mould element sets of an outer mould element and an associated inner mould element, wherein the outer mould elements define the outer mould and the inner mould elements define the inner mould, and the outer mould element and the inner mould element of each mould element set are movable relative to one another along the pressing direction between positions associated with the open configuration and the pressing configuration, and wherein the mould element sets are movable relative to another along a plane transverse to the pressing direction to allow adjusting to dimensions of the box to be formed.
Methods And Systems For Forming Trays
A method of forming a tray includes obtaining a blank, positioning the blank in a blank feeder assembly of a system for forming a tray, moving the blank from the blank feeder assembly to a nipping assembly, and moving the blank to a tray forming assembly, the tray forming assembly including a tray forming apparatus. The method further includes positioning the blank between a first tray forming portion of the tray forming apparatus and a second tray forming portion of the tray forming apparatus, the first tray forming portion includes a forming block that defines an interior, and the second tray forming portion includes a tray forming member, and driving the forming block into engagement with the blank and the tray forming member such that the blank and the tray forming member are at least partially received in the interior of the forming block to form a tray.
DEVICE FOR ASSEMBLING CARDBOARD BOXES
It is a device that can assemble cardboard boxes from a die cut sheet with a rectangular bottom, chamfered vertical corners at 45 and opposing bridges arranged in correspondence with the mouth of the box and which run from the edges of two of the opposing parallel walls of the box, so that the device that is the object of the invention features a series of mechanisms that speed up and improve the process of forming and assembling the box, and can also give shape to corners angled at 45 located on the convergence of the ends of the lateral walls, where said corners of the box comprise several superimposed corner sections.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN IMAGE DISPLAY
Described herein is an apparatus and method for manufacturing an image display. The apparatus provides an automated method for efficient production of a finished image display, beginning with a planar, unassembled, image display and resulting with a fully-assembled image display in its final form, such as a cube-shaped image display with a plurality of images affixed thereto. In one embodiment, the apparatus is machinery configured as a semi-automated workstation, configured with four jigs stationed on a rotating platform housed on a workstation base. The rotating platform is configured for 360 degree rotation and advancing each jig through one of four work positions. The rotating platform is controlled by a control panel, which can be operated manually or automated. In one embodiment, the machinery is capable of high through-put manufacturingup to three hundred image display cubes in one hour of operation.
PACKING BOX AND BOX MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A packing box has a bottom panel, end panels raised from first edges of the bottom panel, side panels arranged adjacently to the end panels, edge panels connected to side edges of the end panels via outer panel fold lines, fold-back panels arranged on inner side surfaces of the edge panels, inner panels arranged on inner side surfaces of the end panels, and reinforcing panels continuously formed with the fold-back panels via first fold lines and the inner panels via second fold lines. The reinforcing panel 16 is formed in an inwardly projecting manner between the fold-back panel and the inner panel. Any of the first and second fold lines positioned on a side closer to the outer panel fold line than a projecting top portion is arranged away from the outer panel fold line by a distance.
DEVICE AND MACHINE FOR FORMING BOXES WITH INTERNAL PARTITION WALL AND RELATIVE METHOD
A box forming device includes an internal partition wall including a positioning area to support a blank arriving from a magazine and positioned between a forming head movable along a rectilinear trajectory to intercept, in an operating position, a portion of the blank. A die receives the blank and forms an open box having a base and side walls defining a housing compartment. The forming head has an operating end for contact with the blank provided with a through seat extending transversely with respect to the rectilinear trajectory. A strap feeding member feeds along a strap along a strap feeding direction in the through seat, which temporarily accommodates the strap. A strap retaining member retains the strap in the through seat while the forming head moves towards the blank, and to release the strap in the compartment such that the strap forms a partition wall which separates two adjacent compartments.
