An agricultural baler includes a main bale chamber, and a plunger reciprocally movable within the main bale chamber through a compression stroke and a return stroke. The plunger has a duty cycle with a maximum power requirement, a minimum power requirement, and an average power requirement over the duty cycle. The baler further includes an auxiliary power system which is configured for transmitting power to the driveline to offset the duty cycle of the plunger and thereby establish a substantially constant power requirement at the driveline.
Tailgate sensor
The round baler includes a frame and a tailgate pivotally mounted to the frame via a tailgate pivot axis. The tailgate is movable along a path of travel range between an open position and a closed position. When in the open position, a bale can be discharged from the baler and, when in the closed position, a bale is prevented from being discharged from the baler. The baler also includes a sensor that has a sensor axis. This sensor is mounted to the baler with the sensor axis approximately coaxial with the tailgate pivot axis. An operating portion of the sensor is operatively directly movable with the tailgate. The sensor has a mechanical rotary range that is at least the travel range of the tailgate; and an electrical sensing range. The electrical sensing range is less than both the mechanical rotary range and the travel range of the tailgate.

In order, in the case of a windrower, to enable crop material to be efficiently picked up and transferred to a transverse conveyor, it is envisaged according to the invention that, in at least one working position of the windrower (1), a normal straight line (N), which runs perpendicular to a region (37) of the conveying surface that is central in relation to the longitudinal axis (X) and which runs through a point (38) on the conveying element (32) that is furthest forward in relation to the longitudinal axis (X), at least touches a range of movement (D) of the transfer prongs (15).
WINDROWER WITH PICKUP DEVICE
The invention relates to a windrower (1), having a main frame (2), which can be supported via an undercarriage (4) in the operating state, and having at least one windrower unit (20), which is connected at least indirectly to the main frame (2) and has a pickup device (21), and a transverse conveyor (30), which is arranged at least predominantly behind it in relation to a windrower longitudinal axis (X) in a working configuration of the windrower (1) and has a transverse conveyor frame (31), wherein the pickup device (21) is configured, in the working configuration, to pick up agricultural crop material from the ground (50) and to transfer it to the transverse conveyor (30), and the transverse conveyor (30) is configured to convey the transferred crop material along a windrower transverse axis (Y) and deposit it in windrows on the ground (50). In order to enable improved dynamic adaptation to a ground profile in the case of a windrower, it is envisaged according to the invention that the pickup device (21) is vertically movable both relative to the transverse conveyor frame (31) and also relative to the main frame (2), at least in relation to a windrower vertical axis (Z)
Tine mounting pads
Mounting pads for attaching tines to a pick-up device of a crop implement such as a round baler may include a tab that extends from a body portion. The tab may be hinged to the main body to allow the tab to loop around the connecting loop of the tine.
GRASS PICKUP HEADER
The pickup header comprises a header frame and one or more reel assemblies. Each reel assembly comprises a reel provided with a plurality of pickup tines, and further comprises a plurality of tine guides for guiding the tines at the back of the reel assembly. One or more of said tine guides comprises an upright wall portion having a concave front edge, wherein along at least the upper half of said front edge, the tine guide further comprises a ridge portion that extends laterally outward from the wall portion. The ridge portion realizes improved guidance of deformed or bent tines compared to existing designs, so that such tines are forced to move within a desired path, without interfering with adjacent tines. The one or more tine guides may be provided in the form of integrally formed pieces obtainable by injection molding or casting.
AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE WITH INDEPENDENTLY MOVABLE WINDGUARD ROLLERS
A pickup assembly (10) for an agricultural vehicle (1) includes: a frame (200); a pickup drum (210) carried by the frame (200) and carrying a plurality of tines (211); and a windguard assembly (220) carried by the frame (200) and comprising a first roller (221) and a second roller (222) carried in front of the pickup drum (210), the first roller (221) and the second roller (222) each being pivotable relative to the frame (200) to adjust a respective relative position to the pickup drum (210).
