A web of first or second material is provided with the spout, and a plastic bag is made from side gusset materials in addition to webs of the first and second materials. An aperture is formed in the web of the first or second panel material, and the spout is inserted into and positioned with the aperture, whenever the webs of the first and second panel materials are fed intermittently. After the webs of the first and second panel materials are superposed on each other, whenever the webs of the first and second panel materials are fed intermittently, the webs of the first and second panel materials are heat sealed with each other in a longitudinal direction thereof by a longitudinal seal device, and the webs of the first and second panel materials are heat sealed with the side gusset materials in a width direction thereof by a cross seal device.

Apparatus for manufacturing an open-mouth bag of at least one layer of a flexible bag material, and method of manufacturing a bag by such apparatus. The apparatus includes a shaping device with a shaping box in the contour of the bag shape to be formed, with a top end and a bottom end, a conveying device for transporting the bag material along the shaping box, a closing device for joining the bag material along the shaping box to form a tube, and a closing station for generating a bag bottom, which is disposed beneath the bottom end of the shaping box. A partial vacuum device is configured to generate intermittently, a partial vacuum. When manufacturing a bag, the bag material is draped around the shaping box in the contour of the bag shape to be formed as continuous material and is joined to form a tube by the closing device.

Improvements to asynchronous spatial listen before talk (LBT) procedures are disclosed. In a shared spectrum network spatial LBT procedures are used for directionally targeting the channel reservation process. Prior to transmitting channel reservation signaling, the transmitter and receiver determine an effective interference considering available multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) configuration information. When the effective interference exceeds a predefined threshold, the node may without transmission of its channel reservation signal. Otherwise, when the effective interference remains within the threshold, each node's transmitted channel reservation signal may also identify at least a beamforming matrix either as payload or used to precede the node's channel reservation signal.

Webs include print patterns repeated at print pitches. The first web is intermittently fed at the print pitch of the first web by a first pair of feed rollers to a section. The second web is fed at the print pitch of the second web by a second pair of feed rollers to the section. The first web and the second web are fed in a superposed state by a downstream pair of feed rollers from the section. A first tension roller and a second tension roller engaging with the first web and the second web are biased by a biasing member via a linkage.

A machine for processing a web of material into bags includes several sections for processing the web of material into bags. An input section is configured to receive a roll of the web of material, a sealing section is configured to form seals in the web of material, and a winder section configured to wind the bags into rolls of bags may be included. A bander section configured to band each roll of bags may be included. A hem forming section configured to form a hem in the web of material may be included. An assembly for folding polymeric film for machines for forming pouches and the like includes a fixed frame for supporting a magazine for the polymeric film, an element for folding the film that arrives from the magazine, and at least one heat-sealing device for the stable coupling of juxtaposed portions of the folded film that arrives from the folding element. The folding element is mounted on a carriage, which can translate along a respective guide which is integral with the frame, along the sliding direction of the film, with a speed that is variable in intensity and sign. The at least one heat-sealing device acts on portions folded onto themselves of the film during a temporary stop thereof. The carriage retracts with respect to the sliding direction of the film for the entire duration of the temporary stop step provided for the heat-sealing of the film.

A cushioned envelope is formed from a laminated material that includes a cushioning web and a shell web. The outer side of the cushioning web is laminated to the inner side of the shell web. A crimping adhesive is applied to first and second transverse seams of the inner side of the cushioning web. The laminated web material is crimped so that each of the first and second transverse seams on the inner side of the cushioning web is folded in on itself. The folded laminated web material is crimped at the first transverse seam and at the second transverse seam. The crimped laminated web material is cut at a location in the first transverse seam and at a location in the second transverse seam.

In order to allow a bag to be easily unsealed by sliding both sides of the bag in a longitudinal direction of a zipper tape irrespective of the rigidity of the zipper tape, a zipper-tape bag according to an aspect of the invention includes: a bag body including at least a pair of facing surfaces; and an elongated zipper tape whose cross sectional profile includes first and second bases each bonded to corresponding one of facing surfaces, and mutually engageable first and second engagement portion respectively protruded from the first and second bases, the zipper tape including an intermediate hinge at at least one point in the longitudinal direction.

The present invention relates to a method for making packages (100) made of flexible material. The method comprises a first step which consists in providing a first strip (19) and a second strip (20) made of flexible material, positioned on top of each other along a conveying direction and preferably having the same width. Moreover, the method comprises a second step of securing the first strip (19) to the second strip (20) by means of a welding surface (24) which extends in a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the first and the second strip (19, 20) for a first length (h4) which is less than the width (h3) of each of the first and the second strip (19, 20); wherein the welding surface (24) is positioned at a first side edge (39) of the first and the second strip (19, 20). In addition, the present invention also comprises a machine (200) which allows using such method.
