ZIPPER TAPE, BAG WITH ZIPPER TAPE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BAG WITH ZIPPER TAPE, LONG MEMBER-BONDING METHOD CAPABLE OF FAVORABLY BONDING LONG MEMBERS, DEVICE THEREFOR, AND ZIPPER TAPE-BONDING DEVICE
A light-absorbing layer and a bonding layer are layered on a first side of each of a belt-shaped male base portion integrated with a male portion and a female base portion integrated with a female portion on a side of the male and female base portions opposite the first side. The light-absorbing layer contains a light-absorbing material having a wavelength absorption range from 800 nm to 1200 nm to absorb a laser beam of the range. The bonding layer contains a low-melting-point resin in a form of a metallocene linear low-density polyethylene having a melting point ranging from 60 degrees C. to 120 degrees C. When the zipper tape is bonded to the base film, the laser beam is applied to heat the light-absorbing layer to melt the bonding layer. The melted bonding layer is pressure-bonded to the base film. The base film can be bonded without causing thermal degradation.
Easy Open Plastic Bags
A woven laminated plastic bag having an easy open feature is provided. The easy open feature is generally defined by a weakened portion in the bag, such as formed by cutting, punching, or using a laser to provide a plurality of cuts and/or perforations in the bag. In various aspects the bag can be fabricated from a woven polypropylene and/or polyethylene layer, which can be laminated with a film layer, can form a pinch bottom bag, and can have one or both sides include graphics and/or printing. The bag can also be sealed to be sealed to provide a top end and/or a bottom end either or both of which provide a discrete area which may contain discrete graphics and/or printing.
Process for forming improved protective eco-friendly pouch and packaging and products made therefrom
The present invention relates generally to a protective wrap and a protective envelope or pouch made therefrom, as well as the apparatus and process for forming such wraps and envelopes. Water-based heat-expandable adhesives (WBHEA) which include a plurality of heat-expandable microspheres are disposed in a pattern between web substrates on a continuous, high speed manufacturing line to produce padded, insulated products useful as envelopes, mailers and other protective packaging.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a plurality of pixels each having a plurality of light-emitting regions including at least a first light-emitting region of a first color, a second light-emitting region of a second color, and a third light-emitting region of a third color and a light-transmitting region. Visibility of the first color is higher than visibility of the second color. The plurality of light-emitting regions are divided into a first group including the first light-emitting region and a second group including the second light-emitting region. The first light-emitting region is adjacent to the second light-emitting region. The light-transmitting region is located between the first light-emitting region and the second light-emitting region. The light-transmitting region is not located in a region between light-emitting regions adjacent to each other in the first group and in a region between light-emitting regions adjacent to each other in the second group.
Easy open plastic bags
A woven laminated plastic bag having an easy open feature is provided. The easy open feature is generally defined by a weakened portion in the bag. In various aspects the bag can be fabricated from woven polypropylene and/or polyethylene layer which can be laminated with a film layer, can form a pinch bottom bag, and can have one or both sides include graphics and/or printing. The bag can also provide a top end and/or a bottom end either or both of which provide a discrete area which may contain discrete graphics and/or printing.
DRAW TAPE BAG
The bag may include a draw tape that may be used to cinch closed the opening of the bag. The draw tape has at least one stretched elastomeric strip attached to the draw tape in an extended condition. The draw tape may be smaller in size than the bag sidewalls. The draw tape may include an elastic characteristic, such as patterned ribs. In one embodiment, the roll of bag is kept under tension to maintain the elastomeric strips in a stretched condition.
ENVELOPE HAVING A CLOSING FLAP, METHOD AND MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH AN ENVELOPE
An envelope formed from a sheet of flexible material and including: a lower section, an upper section superposed on the lower section, the sections being joined together by lateral edges, leaving an opening between the lateral edges, a protective strip on a layer of closing adhesive, the layer of closing adhesive being intended to ring about the closure of the envelope after the protective strip has been removed, and at least one precut region that is able to be detached from the envelope, the protective strip and the layer of closure adhesive extending at least partially over the precut region. Associated method and production machine.
Reclosable flexible packaging and methods for manufacturing same
Flexible film packages having a partial, initial seal against ambient atmosphere and are easily openable and reclosable. The flexible film packages are generally resealable to extend the shelf-life or freshness of products contained therein once the package is initially opened. By one approach, the flexible film has two opposing edge portions that meet to form a longitudinal seal extending from a first end seal to a second end seal. The flexible film may have a score that defines a package opening. An elongated closure layer may extend over the score and may extend from a first end seal to a second end seal and within the opposing edge portions that form the longitudinal seal. The elongated closure layer may have a tack-free gripping portion used to release at least a portion of the elongated closure from the flexible film to form the package opening.
Peel Reclose Package with Laser Features
Peel-Reclose packaging material formed using an adhesive label in combination with laser scoring technology. The adhesive label is applied over laser scored material before or after the laser score forms a pattern smaller than the adhesive label. The adhesive label and laser scored packaging material can then be opened and resealed. In one embodiment the adhesive label in combination with the packaging material has tamper resistant features.
SHOPPING BAG CLOSING SYSTEM
The instant invention relates to a device for the application of adhesives directly on the structure of bags and shopping bags manufactured in automatic machines for packaging conformation, allowing the application liners or coating adhesive strips during the production process of the shopping bag itself.
