Agricultural implement system with a controller for detecting and mitigating plug conditions
An agricultural implement system includes an agricultural implement and a controller. The agricultural implement includes: a chassis; a pickup carried by the chassis and configured to rotate and convey crop material; a movable windguard carried by the chassis; and a windguard displacement sensor associated with the windguard and configured to output windguard displacement signals corresponding to a displacement of the windguard relative to a zero position. The controller is configured to: determine a plug condition exists when the displacement of the windguard exceeds a defined displacement; and output at least one plug condition mitigation signal to adjust at least one parameter of the agricultural implement system and mitigate the plug condition responsively to determining the plug condition exists.
Systems, apparatus, and related methods for use with mergers
Systems, apparatus, and methods for use with mergers for processing a material on a ground surface includes detecting, via one or more sensors, an object of interest associated with the material when a merger is forming a windrow on the ground surface. The method also includes a step for facilitating removal of the object of interest from the material in response to the detection.
BAFFLE FLOAT SYSTEM FOR BALER
A baffle float system for a baler is provided. The baffle float system includes a pair of first pivot arms configured to pivotally couple to a frame of the baler and to a cross-member. The first pivot arms pivot about a first pivot axis. The baffle float system includes a baffle coupled to the cross-member. The baffle float system includes a pair of second pivot arms having a first end coupled to the cross-member and a second end. The baffle float system includes a compressor rack coupled to the second end of each of the second pivot arms such that the compressor rack pivots relative to the second end along a second pivot axis. The second pivot axis is different than the first pivot axis. The baffle float system includes at least one biasing member coupled to the compressor rack so as to be offset from the second pivot axis.

Agricultural vehicle with retainer for blockage removing windguard
A feeding assembly for an agricultural vehicle includes: a pickup including a pickup reel carrying a plurality of tines; a rotor including a plurality of rotor fins disposed rearwardly from the pickup; a windguard assembly including a pair of movable support arms and a windguard coupled to the support arms, the windguard including a tube and a plurality of windguard tines coupled to the tube, the windguard being movable from a first position to a second position that is elevated relative to the first position; and a windguard retainer configured to engage the windguard when the windguard is in the second position and retain the windguard in the second position.
Tine Braces for Preventing Deflection of Wind-Guard Tines in a Baler or Other Ground-Traversing Collection Machine
The invention concerns improvement of a ground-traversing collection machine of a type having a laterally spanning pickup reel, a wind-guard residing overhead of the pickup reel and featuring a laterally lying support and a plurality of hold-down tines projecting from the support bar in a longitudinally rearward direction of opposing the machine's travel direction to hold down the material as it is fed rearwardly from the pickup reel, and a set of stub augers positioned adjacent opposing ends of the pickup reel to convey the material laterally inward toward a midplane of the machine. In the inventive improvement, a set of one or more tine braces are installed on the wind-guard in positions reinforcing one or more of said hold-down tines against potential deflection thereof by the material during laterally inward conveyance thereof by the stub augers.
DUAL AUGER BALER
A baler including a frame, a feed assembly coupled to the frame, an auger housing defining a volume therein, where the volume of the auger housing is configured to receive crop material from the feed assembly during operation, and one or more augers at least partially positioned within the volume and rotatable with respect to the auger housing, where the one or more augers define an auger inlet plane. The baler also including a plurality of strippers coupled to the auger housing and configured to engage crop material, where each stripper includes a leading edge, and where the leading edge of at least one stripper is positioned upstream of the auger inlet plane.
DUAL AUGER BALER
A baler including a frame, a feed assembly coupled to the frame, an auger housing defining a volume therein, where the volume of the auger housing is configured to receive crop material from the feed assembly during operation, and a plurality of augers, each of which at least partially positioned within the volume and rotatable with respect to the auger housing.
Baler rotor assembly strippers
Rotor assemblies for conveying crop material from a pick-up device of a baler apparatus into the baling chamber may include a rotor stripper having a head section with a collar and a tail section removably attached to the head section to remove crop material from the rotating teeth of the assembly.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND RELATED METHODS FOR USE WITH MERGERS
Provided are systems, apparatus, and methods for use with mergers. A method for processing a material on a ground surface includes detecting, via one or more sensors, an object of interest associated with the material when a merger is forming a windrow on the ground surface. The method also includes a step for facilitating removal of the object of interest from the material in response to the detection.
