WINDROW MERGER AND METHOD FOR FORMING WINDROWS THROUGH A WINDROW MERGER WHICH COLLECTS AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS FROM A FIELD
A windrow merger (1) for collecting agricultural products from a field in an advancing direction (AD) comprises: a front side and a rear side, wherein the front side precedes the rear side in the advancing direction (AD); a frame (2); a pick-up device (3) for picking up the agricultural products; a belt conveyor (4), connected to the frame (2) and configured to receive the agricultural products from the pick-up device and to move them in a conveying direction (C), oriented horizontally and transversal to the advancing direction (AD); a catching element connected to the frame; an actuating device, configured to move the catching element between an active position, wherein the catching element is placed lateral to the conveyor and collaborates with the conveyor for the formation of the windrow, and a passive position, wherein the catching element is placed lateral to and in proximity to the conveyor. The position of the catching element in the passive position is offset with respect to that in the active position with respect to the advancing direction and towards the head.
Round baler crop pickups
A round baler includes a bale formation chamber and a rotor device having a plurality of teeth, the teeth having outer tips that define a circumferential path of travel of the rotor device. The round baler also includes a crop pickup device including a plurality of pickup tines connected to a rotating pickup reel and a plurality of stripper bands, each of the plurality of pickup tines passing through a gap formed between adjacent stripper bands. The crop pickup device has an engagement zone and a release zone, wherein the release zone is adjacent to the circumferential path of travel of the rotor device such that the rotor device and the pickup reel rotate and cooperate to convey crop material from the crop pickup device towards the bale formation chamber.
Systems, apparatus, and related methods for use with mergers
An agricultural machine includes: a pickup configured to pick up material from a ground; a conveyor configured to eject the material provided thereon by the pickup; a wind guard configured to change a trajectory of the material from the pickup to the conveyor; a wind guard actuator operatively coupled to the wind guard; and a controller configured to control the wind guard actuator to adjust a position of the wind guard to adjust a distribution of the material relative to the conveyor.
