A machine for assembling a container accommodating perishable good comprises bag placing means configured for inserting a bag into a frame and everting a bag rim portion over the frame and bag securing means. The bag securing means further comprises: an internal member having a perimeter conformable with a cross section of the bag thereat the internal member insertable into a main portion of the bag; and at least one external member conformably pressing the rim portion everted over the frame to the main portion. The internal and external members are provided with cooperatively disposed effectors configured to secure the rim portion and the main portion together when the rim and main portions are pressed to each other.

A removable conformal liner for a beverage container is described. When the liner is inserted into an internal cavity of a beverage container, the body of the liner substantially conforms to the interior cavity. The container liner is adapted to provide snug cuffing over the lip portion of the beverage container. In one embodiment a container liner is configured for heat shrink cuffing. In another embodiment a container liner is configured for stretch cuffing. A system for manual, mechanized and a combination of mechanized and manual installation of the removable conformal liner is disclosed.

The rim portion comprises a rolled up portion of an upper portion of the outer paperboard layer of the sidewall, said rolled up portion being covered by a portion of the thin inner plastic foil layer. In this way, a stiff upper rim is provided, while allowing the use of a very thin inner plastic foil layer.
