EMBOSSED MULTILAYERED CELLULOSE PRODUCT AND MEANS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
20170246827 · 2017-08-31 ·

The cellulose product comprises at least a first ply of embossed cellulose material and a second ply of embossed cellulose material, glued together. The first ply comprises: a first series of embossing protuberances with a first height (H′1) and a top surface to which a glue is applied which bonds the first ply and the second ply to one another; a second series of micro-embossing protuberances with a second height (H′2) lower than the first height (H′1); a third series of micro-embossing protuberances with a third height (H′3) lower than the second height (H′2). The protuberances of the first series are distributed over areas of the first ply, where the micro-embossing protuberances of the second series and the micro-embossing protuberances of the third series are absent.

Creped multi-ply tissue product

Disclosed are multi-ply tissue products comprising a non-crosslinked binder that are durable, smooth and with low levels of Slough. In certain instances the creped tissue product have a geometric mean tensile (GMT) from about 700 to about 1,500 g/3″ a basis weight from about 45 to about 60 gsm and a Slough less than about 2.00 mg, more preferably less than about 1.50 mg, such as from about 0.10 to about 2.00, such as from about 0.25 to about 1.50 mg. The inventive tissue products also have good durability, such as a Durability Index from about 10.0 to about 20.0, smooth surfaces, such as a TS750 value from about 15.0 to 40.0 and low stiffness, such as a Stiffness Index less than about 10.0.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PAPER SHEET AND PAPER SHEET
20170268174 · 2017-09-21 ·

A method of manufacturing a paper sheet with improved softness and the paper sheet are provided. A method of manufacturing a paper sheet 101 according to the present invention includes a supply step of supplying a continuous base sheet 1, 1A, or 1B, and a plurality of times of pressing steps of applying, to a surface of the base sheet 1, 1A, or 1B, pressing force having a normal-direction component of the surface.

EMBOSSED MULTI-PLY TISSUE PRODUCTS

The present invention provides an embossed multi-ply tissue product that is visually pleasing and has improved physical attributes. For example, the inventive multi-ply tissue products have reduced stiffness, such as a GM Flexural Rigidity less than about 600 mg*cm, improved absorbency, such as a Residual Water (WResidual) value less than about 0.15 g, and improved wet resiliency, such as a wet elastic strain ratio greater than about 32 percent.

Durable and dispersible creped multi-ply tissue

Disclosed are multi-ply tissue products comprising a non-crosslinked binder that are durable and dispersible. The products generally have a Slosh time less than 2 minutes, such as less than about 60 seconds, such as less than about 45 seconds. Surprisingly, the foregoing Slosh times are achieved despite the tissue products having relatively high cross-machine direction (CD) wet tensile strength, such as greater than about 100 g/3″. Typically, increasing wet tensile strength, particularly wet CD tensile strength, negatively effects dispersability and increases Slosh time. Despite this trend, the present invention surprisingly provides a tissue product having a relatively high degree of wet strength and good dispersability.

EMBOSSED MULTI-PLY TISSUE PRODUCT

Disclosed are embossed, multi-ply tissue products having consumer preferred physical properties and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The products may have a first ply embossed with a first pattern comprising line emboss elements and a second ply embossed with a second embossing pattern comprising dot emboss elements. In addition to having plies with different embossing patterns, the plies may have different tensile strength, such as a first ply having a geometric mean tensile (GMT) strength greater than 500 g/3″ and a second ply having a GMT less than 500 g/3″. Preferably the difference in the GMT between the first and second plies is at least about 20 percent, such as from about 20 to about 50 percent.

Process for making multi-ply fibrous structure containing articles

Articles, for example multi-ply fibrous structure-containing articles such as multi-ply sanitary tissue products, containing two or more fibrous structure plies, and more particularly to multi-ply articles containing two or more fibrous structure plies having a plurality of fibrous elements wherein the articles exhibit improved bulk and absorbent properties compared to known articles and methods for making same, are provided.

EMBOSSED MULTI-PLY TISSUE PRODUCT

Disclosed are embossed, multi-ply tissue products having consumer preferred physical properties and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The products may have a first tissue ply having a molded topographical pattern and a first embossed pattern comprising a plurality of embossed elements disposed thereon, and a second tissue ply having a molded topographical pattern and a second embossed pattern comprising a plurality of dot emboss elements disposed thereon. The multi-ply tissue products generally have improved sheet bulk, such as a sheet bulk greater than about 15 cubic centimeters per gram (cc/g), and improved softness, such as an Average TS7 less than about 12.0 and more preferably less than about 11.0, such as from about 10.0 to about 12.0. The foregoing Average TS7 values may be obtained at a product geometric mean tensile strength (GMT) from about 800 to about 1,200 g/3″.

THERMOPLASTIC BAGS WITH PHASED DEFORMATION PATTERNS

Thermoplastic bags with phased deformation patterns are described. In particular, one or more implementations comprise thermoplastic bags with ring rolling, SELFing, or other deformation patterns phased or aligned relative to the sides of the bags. The phased deformation patterns can allow for reducing or eliminating deformation patterns in areas of the thermoplastic bag in which side seals or other seals are formed. Additionally or alternatively, the phased deformation patterns can provide for zones that provide differing properties (e.g., functional or aesthetic). Such zones can vary aligned along a width of the thermoplastic bag and optionally also vary along a height of the thermoplastic bag. The differing zones can provide the thermoplastic bags with phased deformations that provide leak prevention, liquid containment, and other benefits.
