Curvature limiting film
Various apparatuses are disclosed including those that have curvature arresting properties. According to one example, the apparatus can optionally include a flexible first film, a second film and a first plurality of features. The first plurality of features can be disposed between the first film and the second film At least some of the first plurality of features are spaced apart from one another by a gap when the first film is not subject to an applied bending force or is subject to the applied bending force below a predetermined magnitude in one or both of the transverse direction and the longitudinal direction, and at least some of the first plurality of features contact one another to arrest a curvature of the first film when the applied bending force is at or above the predetermined magnitude.
Phosphor film, method of manufacturing the same, coating method of phosphor layer, method of manufacturing LED package and LED package manufactured thereby
There are provided a phosphor film, a method of manufacturing the same, and a method of coating an LED chip with a phosphor layer. The phosphor film includes: a base film; a phosphor layer formed on the base film and obtained by mixing phosphor particles in a partially cured resin material; and a cover film formed on the phosphor layer to protect the phosphor layer.
COMMUNICATION CABLES AND COMPONENTS THEREOF
In one embodiment a matrix tape includes a support layer, a metallic layer composed of metallic segments attached to the support layer and a barrier layer attached to the support layer opposite the metallic layer. In another embodiment a matrix tape includes a support layer, a metallic layer composed of metallic segments attached to the support layer and a strength member attached to the metallic layer opposite the support layer. In a third embodiment a method of manufacturing a matrix tape includes providing a payout and an uptake reel. Dispensing a tape with a support layer and a metallic layer from the payout reel, ablating the metallic reel with a laser, attached at least one of a strength member or a barrier layer to the tape, and spooling the tape on the uptake reel.

SHAPE MEMORY MATERIALS WITH REVERSIBLE TRANSITIONS
Disclosed aspects relate to a structure which includes shape memory materials having transition triggers to transition the shape memory materials between initial states and transitioned states. A first physical shape of the structure exists when the first shape memory material has the first initial state and the second shape memory material has the second initial state. A second physical shape of the structure exists when the first shape memory material has the first transitioned state and the second shape memory material has the second initial state. A third physical shape of the structure exists when the first shape memory material has the first transitioned state and the second shape memory material has the second transitioned state. The physical shapes of the structure are reversible in nature. In embodiments, the shape memory materials are bonded to a flexible substrate or are clad together.

Expandable and contractible hose
An expandable and contractible hose, the hose includes a segmented tubular wall circumscribing an interior. The segmented tubular wall is made up of a plurality of contiguous segments. Each contiguous segment expands along the length of the hose with the application of pressure from within. A bias holds the contiguous segments in a collapsed state when no pressure is applied from within the interior. A pressurized fluid passing within the interior overcomes the bias and causes the contiguous segments to expand into an expanded state.
SHEETS PROCESSING SYSTEM
Disclosed is a sheets processing system for producing a flat laminated printed item. The system includes a sheet feeding station to feed printed sheets (12) to a laminating station, the laminating station to adhere a laminating material to the printed sheets (12), and a base item application station to apply a base item to the printed sheets (12) being laminated. The system additionally includes a platform to accommodate the sheet feeding station, the laminating station, the base item application station, and a transport roller station, all aligned in a substantially straight line. The system further includes a transport roller station to transport along the platform at least a section of the printed sheets (12) being laminated which is a part of the flat laminated printed item.
