A composite fabric includes a film, a first fibrous layer, a fabric layer, and a second fibrous layer and one or more retaining members. The film has a first side and a second side. The first fibrous layer has a first side connected to the second side of the film and a second side. The fabric layer has a first side connected to the second side of the first fibrous layer and a second side. The second fibrous layer has a first side connected to the second side of the fabric layer and a second side. The film can be a non-heat shrinking film. The retaining members may be configured to contact a surface on which the composite fabric is placed and resist movement of the composite fabric relative to the surface where the retaining members include a corrosion inhibitor.

The current invention relates to a textile suited for packaging, transporting and/or storing items, wherein said textile is a multilayered textile, said multilayered textile comprising a reinforcing middle part, a first outer nonwoven layer and a second outer nonwoven layer, wherein said reinforcing middle part is sandwiched between said first outer and said second outer nonwoven layer wherein said reinforcing middle part is comprised of two superimposed scrim layers, wherein each of said scrim layers has a weight between 50 to 100 g/m.sup.2 and said textile has a total weight of between 250 and 350 g/m.sup.2 as measured by EN 9073-1:1992. The current invention also relates to a container comprising aforementioned textile.

Cellulose-Based Packaging Materials with Enhanced Barrier Properties

A cellulose-based packaging material has a multi-layer structure that includes a barrier layer with at least one of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) and cellulose nanofibril (CNF) that provides enhanced moisture and/or oxygen or other gas barrier properties. The other layers, e.g., outer layers, of the material's multilayer structure may be cellulose-based and the entire material may be devoid of polymeric or metallic films or foils. The material may be implemented as a sandwich structure with an interior MFC and/or CNF film as the barrier layer and cellulose-based outer layers that immobilize the MFC and/or CNF film during the material's dewatering and drying procedures. Nano-scale cellulose products delivering the MFC and/or CNF may be incorporated into a foamed MFC and/or CNF product upstream of a paper machine headbox, so that the headbox(es) receives a volume of foamed MFC and/or CNF product for forming the barrier layer and at least two volumes of non-foamed and non-MFC and/or CNF cellulose-based feedstock for forming the outer layers.

Nonwoven fabrics having improved softness

Nonwoven fabrics are provided that include a plurality of mono-component spunbond fibers comprising a polymeric material including a polymeric blend of (i) a TS7 value of at most about 30 as determined by a Tissue Softness Analyzer (TSA) from Emtec Innovative Testing Solutions; (ii) a HF value of at least about 40 as determined by a Tissue Softness Analyzer (TSA) from Emtec Innovative Testing Solutions; (iii) a delta value of at least 20, wherein the delta value is determined by subtracting the TS7 value from the HF value; (iv) a TS7 value that is from about 5% to about 35% lower than that of an identically constructed nonwoven fabric formed from 100% polypropylene; and (v) a HF value that is from about 5% to about 35% larger than that of an identically constructed nonwoven fabric formed from 100% polypropylene.

BREATHABLE ELASTIC COMPOSITES

Breathable elastic composites including a first nonwoven material comprising a first plurality of fibers, a second nonwoven material comprising a second plurality of fibers, and a film comprising a plurality of apertures, in which the film is located between the first nonwoven material and the second nonwoven material. At least a portion the first plurality of fibers and/or at least a portion of the second plurality of fibers extend through at least a portion of the plurality of apertures and are physically entangled together.
