Dog Retrieval Tool Device
20230097810 · 2023-03-30 ·

The present invention relates to a dog retrieval tool device primarily comprised of a hollow body that has a first end, a second end, and a central recessed area. In differing embodiments, the body may be filled with water and/or air and may have the appearance of a plurality of differing waterfowls or colors known in the art. In order to allow a user to easily throw the device, the device is further comprised of a rope with a slip-resistant handle. Further, the body of the device is comprised of a padded neoprene cover that encapsulates the body. In this manner, the cover ensures the teeth and gums of a dog are not injured, when a dog bites the device.

System for repurposing cardboard into a cat scratching surface
20230098429 · 2023-03-30 ·

This invention relates to the improvements in cat clawing/scratching pads and the like—providing the user with a means to convert cardboard into renewed cat scratching surfaces. This cat scratching system enables the guided cutting of user-supplied cardboard into strips and subsequent filing of those strips into a shell in such a way that exposed strips serve as a cat scratching surface. After wear or destruction of filed cardboard strips through cat scratching, clawing, pulling, tearing, or general degradation (e.g., accumulation of cat hair) cardboard can be removed from the cat scratching system. The process of cutting cardboard strips and storing is repeated to enable renewal of the cat scratching surfaces from the user's cardboard source of choice (e.g., repurpose corrugated cardboard commonly found in delivered packages).

Internet canine communication device and method
RE049265 · 2022-11-01 ·

Enhanced methods and systems for human-pet communication are described. Example embodiments provide an Internet Canine Communication System (“ICCS”). The ICCS facilitates remote communication and interaction with between a dog and its owner, caretaker, trainer, family member, or the like. The ICCS may include a base station or similar device that is configured to deliver treats to a dog and to transmit audio/visual communication between the dog and a remote client device operated by a human user. The ICCS may also facilitate training the dog to utilize the ICCS to communicate with the user, such as by answering calls from or initiating calls to the remote client device of the user.

PET TOY WITHIN A TOY
20230030678 · 2023-02-02 ·

The invention comprises a pet toy where the toy can be made to look like an animal or a fictitious character such as a unicorn. The outer shell is molded TPE and transparent so the pet can see a second inner toy inside which has a squeaker set-in to it and will squeak when the shells are compressed by a pet. The pet can see that there is an inner toy, but it does not dislodge from the outer shell.

Animal-operated oral gel delivery and diaphragm pump device for animals
11612139 · 2023-03-28 · ·

A dispenser includes an outer shell and diaphragm pumps that can be operated by an animal to dispense materials, such as a gel, with a flow viscosity between 1-100,000 cps. The outer shell houses a pressure-actuated sound generator and has outer surfaces with tongue cleaners. The outer shell includes receivers wherein diaphragm pumps can be installed. The diaphragm pumps are of a prescribed volume between 0.1 ml and 50 ml so that the amount of oral gel ejected into a dog's mouth can be determined. The outer shell is sufficiently flexible to be compressed by an animal's jaws such that the oral gel is pumped via actuation of the diaphragm pump. Gel is ejected or pumped to the teeth of the animal and in combination of sounds being generated, more or less simultaneously with the distribution of oral gel in a prescribed and measured volume.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CHARACTERIZING AND MONITORING HEALTH OF AN ANIMAL BASED ON GAIT AND POSTURAL MOVEMENTS

One variation of a method includes: accessing a video feed recorded at a training apparatus configured to dispense primary reinforcer units; dispensing a first primary reinforcer unit toward a first location; in response to detecting the animal at the first location, dispensing a second primary reinforcer unit toward a second location intersecting a pathway extending from the first location; in response to detecting movement of the animal along the pathway, collecting a timeseries of position data representing changes in position of a set of anatomical features of the animal; based on the timeseries of position data, deriving a movement profile representing movement of the animal along the pathway; based on a difference between the movement profile and a baseline movement profile defined for the animal, interpreting an abnormality and predicting a causal pathway for the abnormality; and selecting a mitigation protocol based on the causal pathway.
