VENTED INSULATED SPA COVER
An insulated spa cover (10) contains a thermal insulating core (30), a top cover (150) with an average permeance of at least 57.2 nanograms/Pascal*seconds*square meters, and a hydrostatic head test value of at least 5,000 Pascals, a vapor barrier (130) and optionally a bottom sheet (140) apart from the vapor barrier. Venting pathways are defined around the thermally insulating core to facilitate escape of water vapor.
Soft Ballistic Resistant Armor
A soft armor panel is provided by work softening a panel formed of a ballistic material. The panel also includes slip planes between adjacent ply groups, the adjacent ply groups remaining unconnected or substantially unconnected at the slip plane. The soft, or conformable, body armor, is resistant to various projectile threats, in which the panel is made by work-softening an otherwise rigid panel. The soft armor panel includes a work softened lamination of a plurality of ply groups. Each ply group comprises one or more layers, each layer comprising a composite material of fibers embedded in a matrix material. A slip plane is disposed between at least one set of adjacent ply groups, such that the adjacent ply groups remain unconnected or substantially unconnected at the slip plane. The softened ballistic panel retains significant ballistic properties, is light weight and can be readily conformed to various torso configurations.
MOUNTING APPARATUS FOR MOBILE CONSUMER ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A mount for a mobile electronic device is configured to secure around a water bottle or similar structural support. The mount includes a magnetic ball sleeve that attaches around a water-bottle allowing the consumer to mount their phone magnetically to the mount. The invention allows one to increase the functionality of their existing tools and in so doing, eliminates the need to carry additional items to achieve the same level of functionality. The mount includes an elongate elastic sleeve with a slot at one end and cooperating fasteners at a second end. The sleeve is configured to cinch about the supporting structural element. A ball and socket are attached to the sleeve. The socket and a device plate are magnetically attracted. The device plate is attached to the mobile electronic device, such that the mobile electronic device may be removably attached to the mount.
Deployable aircraft flotation system
A deployable aircraft flotation system. The deployable aircraft flotation system includes a pair of flotation members. The pair of flotation members are positioned on opposing sides of a bottom surface of an aircraft body. Each flotation member of the pair of flotation members has an inner layer that is made of a first buoyant material, an outer layer that is made of a second buoyant material, and a middle layer between the inner layer and the outer layer that is made of a rigid material. The flotation members can be moved from a stowed position, where they are stored in housings, to a deployed position, where they emerge and are positioned on the bottom of the plane.
Medical transfer pad and production process thereof
A medical transfer pad and a production process thereof including a transfer pad body, at least two square pockets arranged symmetrically up and down are disposed on a middle portion of the rear portion of the transfer pad body, and at least two tensile fabric webbing handles symmetrically spaced up and down are disposed on a rear portion of the transfer pad body. The transfer pad body includes a polymer nano-level columnar elastomer anti-skid layer, a first waterproof fiber cloth layer, a first waterproof fiber cloth layer, and a high-strength tear-resistant nylon webbing layer that are placed neatly from top to bottom and are stitched and reinforced by high-strength nylon thread. An upper surface of the first waterproof fiber cloth layer is sprayed with the polymer nano-level columnar elastomer anti-skid layer.
FLAME AND PARTICULATE RESISTANT KNIT ARTICLE
An article of protective clothing comprising a durable multilayer fabric laminate formed from
i) a first flame resistant knitted fabric made from yarns, the fabric having an average fabric modulus of 8 grams-force of greater;
ii) a flame-resistant nonwoven fabric having a machine direction and a cross direction, and consisting of a plurality of continuous filaments having a diameter of less than 1000 nm, the filaments in the fabric being substantially oriented parallel with the machine direction and having stretch and recovery in the cross direction; and
iii) a second flame resistant knitted fabric made from yarns, the fabric having an average fabric modulus of 8 grams-force of greater;
wherein the nonwoven fabric is positioned between and coextensive with the first and second flame-resistant knitted fabrics; the nonwoven fabric being attached to the first knitted fabric by a set of first attachment points, the attachment points defining a first unattached area having a first effective diameter; the nonwoven fabric also being attached to the second knitted fabric by a set of second attachment points, the attachment points defining a second unattached area having a second effective diameter; wherein both the first unattached area and the second unattached area each have a value A, in square centimeters, according to the formula:
C<A</=(14*B)+100
the value B being the sum of the average fabric modulus of the first knitted fabric and the average fabric modulus of the second knitted fabric, in grams-force; and the value C being 5 square centimeters.
PERSONAL HYGIENE DEVICE
A personal hygiene device that includes a front side and a base. The front side has a cleaning surface comprising a mesh material configured for exfoliating a user's skin. The base is configured for coupling the device to surface, such as a bathroom surface. In aspects, the bathroom surface is a side of a bathtub or shower wall.
