Display device

A display device includes a display module which is foldable and includes a first non-folding area, a folding area and a second non-folding area, in order, a first plate corresponding to the first non-folding area, a second plate corresponding to the second non-folding area and spaced apart from the first plate, and a cover film facing the display module with both the first plate and the second plate therebetween. The cover film includes a first film corresponding to each of the first non-folding area, the folding area and the second non-folding area, the first film attached to each of the first and second plates, and at the folding area, a second film attached to the first film. The display module which is folded disposes the second film between the first film and the first plate and between the first film and the second plate.

Semiconductor substrate support with multiple electrodes and method for making same

A method for manufacturing an electrostatic chuck with multiple chucking electrodes made of ceramic pieces using metallic aluminum as the joining. The aluminum may be placed between two pieces and the assembly may be heated in the range of 770 C to 1200 C. The joining atmosphere may be non-oxygenated. After joining the exclusions in the electrode pattern may be machined by also machining through one of the plate layers. The machined exclusion slots may then be filled with epoxy or other material. An electrostatic chuck or other structure manufactured according to such methods.

FOLDABLE DISPLAY SCREEN ASSEMBLY

A foldable display screen assembly has a flat area and a curved-surface area. The foldable display screen assembly includes a flexible display module including a flat display portion and a curved-surface display portion. The flexible display module has a display surface and a back surface opposite the display surface. The foldable display screen assembly further includes a flexible support layer attached to the back surface of the flexible display module by an adhesive. The flexible support layer includes a flat support portion and a curved-surface support portion. The foldable display screen assembly further includes a rigid protective structure attached to the display surface of the flexible display module. The rigid protective structure includes a flat protective portion and a curved-surface protective portion. The elastic modulus of the rigid protective structure is greater than the elastic modulus of the flexible support layer.

Fiberglass composite cover for foldable electronic display and methods of making the same

Optically transparent fiber glass cover substrates for electronic displays. The cover substrates include an optically transparent fiberglass composite layer including a fiberglass layer embedded in a matrix material and an optically transparent hard-coat layer bonded to a top surface of the optically transparent fiberglass composite layer. A bottom surface of the optically transparent fiberglass composite layer may define a bottommost exterior surface of a cover substrate. The bottommost exterior surface of a cover substrate may be disposed over a display surface of an electronic display to protect the display surface from damage.

ADHESION METHOD FOR ADHERING GLASS COMPONENT AND RESIN COMPONENT

A glass component, which has a first surface and a second surface that faces in a direction opposite to the first surface, and a resin component are adhered. The first surface of the glass component and the resin component are caused to face each other and the glass component and the resin component are layered, the first surface of the glass component being provided with an acrylic ink printing. IR laser is radiated from the first surface of the glass component toward the printing, and the glass component and the resin component are welded by a heat of dissolution of the printing.

A duplex label. The duplex label has a first face ply having a printable upper side and a lower side, and a second face ply having an upper side and a printable lower side. A layer of patterned adhesive is situated underneath the lower side of the first face ply. A displaceable liner coating comprising an enabler, a facilitator, and a stabilizer is formulated, and the layer of patterned adhesive is covered with the displaceable liner coating. The displaceable liner coating is activated by bringing the displaceable liner coating in contact with a fluid. The second face ply is secured to the first face ply using the activated displaceable liner coating such that the printable upper side faces away from the printable lower side. The first face ply is secured to the substrate, and the second face ply is sandwiched between the first face ply and the substrate.
