A method for the development of a thermally insulating sandwich-structured laminate, such as a sandwich-structured laminate of a housing of a climate chamber for the high temperature range, with an internal wall and an external wall, can include the method steps: providing the internal wall, adhering at least one high temperature stable insulation panel onto the internal wall, positioning the external wall with respect to the internal wall such that between the internal wall and the external wall the at least one high temperature stable insulation panel and a hollow volume are developed. The method can further include filling the hollow volume with a PUR foam for the formation of a second rigid foam layer connecting the at least one high temperature stable insulation panel and the external wall.

Thermally insulated pipes including thermal insulation, outer jacket and medium pipes, wherein the thermal insulation includes a foam having a density of 30-80 kg/m3, the outer jacket includes a thermoplastic plastic (21) having a modulus of 300-1400 MPa and having a corrugated shape. The invention further relates to the use as well as the manufacture of such tubes. Furthermore, the invention relates to composite materials, their use for thermal insulation, as well as their manufacture.

Laminate including weldable regions

A laminate sheet including a weldable margin is formed by laminating metal sheets having a core layer disposed therebetween. The core layer is formed of a core material which includes one or more of a viscoelastic, adhesive and acoustic material. The core layer is selectively distributed such that the laminate sheet includes an adhered region providing a laminate structure, and a non-adhered region including a weldable margin. The non-adhered region is adjacent an edge of the core layer and is characterized by a gap between the first and second metal sheets and by an absence of the core layer in the gap. The non-adhered region defines a weldable margin adjacent a core edge configured such that a weld is formable in the weldable margin without heat affecting the core layer. The laminate sheet can be joined by fasteners installed in the non-adhered region.
